If I am Cleveland I am burning the phones to trade the pick plus necessary fillers for Love or Aldridge then hoping that player plus Kyrie is enough to convince Lebron to go home.

Sixers are in total rebuild mode, so a young starter?

Then again they have a crap load of cap space, so maybe they can convince a couple of players to go there and trade it for a proven vet

Just filed to http://NBA.com : Kings put No. 8 on the trade block, wanting veteran instead of next rookie to develop. Link to come.

The question is, would you do it? Aldridge for #1, Waiters, Thompson, Varejao

    Dame/Livingston?
    Wiggins/Waiters
    Batum/Wes
    Thompson/Robinson
    Rolo/Varejao

I don't know... that lineup doesn't really excite me.

Batum and his cap space for that pick would be something to think about

Where else would they find 14 million in salary?

    No it's not

Olshey said the Blazers are no longer in "asset acquisition mode"

With getting to the 2nd round they're now in "win now mode"

Trades for draft picks will not happen

Varejao and Thompson make enough combined to make that work without killing their cap this summer

    cleveland could have realistically drafted

    2011
    kyrie
valaciunas (went #5 right after tristan)

    2012
drummond (might have been a reach at the time at #4 but would have been accepted, you cant teach size, etc)
terrance jones at #17 instead of the tyler zeller pick

    2013
it remains to be seen if any of these players are anything special, but oladipo at #1 would have been better (anything would have been better than bennett)

    2014 #1

    kyrie
    olapido
    t jones
    drummond
    valanciunas
    wiggins, parker, or embiid

Batum and no picks is worse that #8 and the FA or two you could sign with Batum's money

Who are you going to sign that's better than Batum?

If that happens then the next question would be Andrew Wiggins or Jabari Parker?

The Cavs would laugh at that. LA is a great PF, but not worth that much.

That is a king's ransom, and far more than I think Cleveland would offer. But yes, I do that, draft Wiggins, and see what that lineup can do. I would see that as a "one step back to take two steps forward" type of move.

    I'd throw in CJ.
