You might change your tune after reading this snippet from John Hollinger's "Draft Rater" column he released this afternoon.

If were picking at 21 that doesnt really concern me. I think Brooks is going to be like a Nick Young type. Not really good, but instant offense type. Not bad for pick 21 in a historically weak draft.

Re: NBA Draft Thread Vol. 2

I don't think Hollinger has any personal feelings about any of them, but his system seems to suggest that guys like Irving, Leonard, and Kemba, plus Euors Miroitic [sic] and Valanciunas [sic] could end up being productive or even really good.

Here's how his rater would rank the prospects draft order.

    1. Kyrie Irving
    2. Derrick Williams
    3. Tristan Thompson
    4. Jonas Valanciunas
    5. Kawhi Leonard
    6. Enes Kanter

    8. Tobias Harris
    9. Alec Burks
    10. Jordan Hamilton
    11. Bismack Biyombo

Looks like Houston is seriously considering Faried at #14.

cool thanks, i dont have insider, but i checked his ratings for last year and he was a little off (babbitt #8) but overall, it basically mirrors the general consensus.

Re: NBA Draft Thread Vol. 2

I love watching the rebroadcast of old drafts on NBATV. It's tough to see writers and analysts whose opinion I actually respect be completely wrong about a players potential. They were saying Kwame Brown was the next Hakeem and Adam Morrison the next Chris Mullin. Darko will be dominant in the post..... haha! Sorry, but I can't remember the last time I was this "NOT EXCITED" about an NBA draft.

As it stands expect the @WashWizards to trade up w/ the @Utah_Jazz or @Cavs to take Enes Kanter. Per a source Wiz have him #2 on their board

Re: NBA Draft Thread Vol. 2

Comparing his rater to DX's mock, Greg Smith and Jon Leuer are the most underrated prospects (projected to be drafted over 30 spots lower than their rating suggests), and Tobias Harris will be BPA at 21 (rated 8, projected to go 22). Marshon Brooks (rated 56, projected 15) is by far the most overrated; Jimmer Fredette and Marcus Morris were the most overrated among projected lottery picks.

Bucks are open to moving No.10 and have had several discussions. As of now, though, they intend to keep the pick.

Isn't Enes Kanter just obviously the white Al Jefferson?

Actually, anyone remember the Ukraine Train? He kind of reminds me of him.

He's probably a bigger Carlos Boozer at his peak. His basement is Vitaly Potapenko.

I thought Boozer, but Boozer doesn't really have post moves. That's why I went with Jefferson.
