Re: NBA Finals: Boston Celtics vs. LA Lakers (LA leads 2-1)

Boston's defense on Kobe is amazing. I can't remember him being suffocated like this by any other team other than the 2008 Celtics and the 2004 Pistons.

Huge game from Fisher. As a Lakers' fan, it was fucking awesome to see how much this game touched him. He's always had a knack for stepping up when it matters, that is why he's the starter and gets the bulk of the minutes. Farmar and Shannon can't touch his jock strap. Let Farmar go in the off-season to a team that runs a free for all offense, that is the only place he'll succeed in this league. Try to get Steve Blake in here baby! Fisher was a fucking warrior tonight. Just fucking awesome.

Kobe was being suffocated all night, I'm glad he gave the reigns over to Fish. I hope his fingers aren't acting up on him, a couple of his releases were really awkward. I don't know whether it was because of how he was being guarded, or if he was trying to take pressure off his fingers.

Nice game from Odom, but he's still being dominated by Rasheed and Big Baby. I'm sorry Odom, but Drew needs to be in there to close games out. He is really having a major impact on defense in this series. Any offense from him is an added bonus. He is playing his heart out and making an impact. Phil needs to leave him in there to close games out if he continues to alter Boston in the paint and limit their second chance opportunities.

Tough game for Gasol tonight. He was being eaten alive by KG, who all of a sudden found the fountain of youth. Still, when the game was on the line, he didn't buckle and hit a few big shots. I'll take it. Hopefully he can find a way to be a dominant offensive player throughout the game and take some pressure off Kobe like Fish did tonight.

Artest again having an impact on Pierce. Loved it.

Still hate how the refs are controlling the flow of the game. LA got some favorable calls tonight, surprisingly.

There is no room to let up in game 4. Get this shit to a 3-1 lead with the opportunity to close out in 5. I had a great feeling about tonight's game, and they came through. We can't depend on Allen to have the worst game of his career again. Hopefully Fisher can kepe tailing him like he did tonight. Ray had open looks though, thank God they didn't go in.

Let's get game 5 now baby!

going down by 15+ killed boston early in the game IMO, at that point I knew they had no chance of coming back and I was surprised when they brought it within 2.

the clear advantage the lakers have is, the best player on earth plays for them. haha (sucks but thats life) :(

Even though Kobe has had a good (not great) series offensively, he's done a marvelous job on the defensive end.

    WOOO Awesome win baby.

I had a good feeling about this one, I always know the Lakers will bounce back up when they lose a game. Great fucking win though, Bynum really wants another ring. Glad Odom stepped up as well.

Man it was so close, Fisher is fucking clutch.

I hope Kobe and Fish tell the fellas we gotta play our hearts out in Game 4, I want to take this shit badly.

That pick and roll is going to be there all series long, unless Boston really wants to chance leaving Rondo on Kobe and having Allen switch over to Fisher. Keep running it until Boston stops it.

He needs to start attacking the rim more. He has tons of strength he can use as an advantage.

As long as he plays smart, I'm good.

Is Big Baby really as fast as Lamar Odom makes him look? For the life of him, Odom can not dribble by Big Baby and is being eaten alive by him on the defensive end. Why is that? Is BBD that good?

But Odom has blown by KG (granted his knee issues and being older than BB) a couple of times. I never realized BBD was that fast. Impressive for someone his size and build.

It is hard to attack the rim when you're being swarmed on defense. Boston is playing him really good right now, we need a pure shooter in the off-season who can make teams pay for that.

No, I think he's just upset with the refs, Artest got 2 quick fouls called on him early and that pissed him off.

I missed both those fouls. I parked @ my GF's house and listened to who won the jump ball and then walked up to her room. Literally 2 minutes later lol and Walton was in. I got a little nervous that Artest got hurt or something.

I wonder why Kobe hasn't tried posting up his man when Odom and Bynum/Gasol are in the game. That leaves him room to operate in the post. He isn't having much success from the perimeter right now. Try the post game.

Bynum is the difference maker in this series so far. Things are always good when DREW is on the FLOOR.

Gasol has been the best player in the series so far.

    Lamar the lamest.

    Drew the most consistent.

Those instant replays where huge for us last night. Anyone find it pathetic the officials got the call wrong on all three accounts? LOL

Very exciting game and a lot of ugly basketball last night. Ray Allen couldn't hit a shot to save his life. He even missed a wide open layup when KG was called for that moving pick late in the game. If that miss counted he would have tied the record for most missed field goals without a make in the playoffs 0-14. The law of averages caught up with Ray Allen last night.

I thought it was a good win for us last night. Our defense was fantastic again, and Derek Fisher was absolutely huge.

I really think the biggest difference makers this year have been Bynum being healthy enough to play and Artest's defense. Bynum has been a consistent threat on both offense and defense in the post, and he's making life easier on everyone because of it. And Artest, while his offense comes and goes more often than I'd like, he's done a marvelous job on defense. He has frustrated Paule Pierce all series. Minus the first quarter of game one, he's been almost a non-factor, and that's killing the Celtics.
