Thanks Rudeezy that's me, the original Laker fan  I hate to say this but I have to keep my mouth shut until after Game 4. For the time being, enjoy the Laker bashing  don't burn any car yet Detroit!!

Although I do think the Pistons can and will win this series I still think the Lakers may find a way to get back into this series, IF they are a truly great team. Its just funny to see all the Lakers fans saying that the Pistons are finished after a demoralizing loss and than they are no where to be found when their precious lakers get hammered.

Laker fans... Couple years ago one of my friend who moved from LA to SF told me that many Lakers' fans are just bunch of "fake fans". He told me that the fans would only show up when the team is doing well.

At first I did not believe so, but now...

LA is a very interesting town... You will see many girls wearing Kobe jerseys and you can tell that they don't know a thing about basketball. To them, it's a hip thing. It's hip to wear Kobe or Lakers stuff.

    It's so Hollywood.

Lakers will not take any more loses like that in the last remaining games. Phil has to be irrate and something needs to be done if they even think about winning this year. Kobe was completly missing in action and Shaq was locked down the whole 2nd half.

Malone can only do so much with his injured knee, so that leaves one question. Payton what did you come to LA for? If you want this championship so bad to take a paycut then dammit play like you want to win. Payton is hands down the biggest dissapointment thus far in the playoffs.

BTW: Rudeezy I find it kind of weird that you are from Cali and an anti-Laker. Whats the deal with that?

i never doubted pistonst power and i think they have the ability to beat the lakers, but in the end of the series, experience will win.

I like Detroit, they are a very conscientious team. I predict them to win very immensely.

Still no answer for Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton, unless L.A find a way to stop them I don't see them winning another game in this series. They may but they need to do alot of different things right for that to happen. When one on one, Kobe can not out-do Tay. His arms are too long to shoot over. Kobe needs screens to get loose and get his shots off. 90% of the time whenever Tay is guarding Kobe It is normally a brick. I will go as far as saying Prince has done the best job guarding Kobe out of anyone. That includes Bruce Bowen.

All the pressure is on L.A to game 4 on sunday.

Huge disapointment. I just can't stand the pistons.
By the way what is the deal of ben wallace trying to shoot, I mean the guy can barely make a lay up and he have the guts to take a 15 feet shot. Ben wallace shooting should be banned.

Yet the pistons seems like they are going to win this championship.

Well if this is the new nba of the 21 st century, with teams struggling to rise above 40 % in field goals, then I think I will stick to my local acb.
And by the way the only thing this pistons have in common with isiah one is the defense. Or would you dare to compare wallace offensive ability with laimbeer soft touch. So stop the bad boys have return, it's just insulting.

Great game by Detroit, I knew this was going to be a tough series, thats why I had L.A. winning in 6.

GP justs disgusts me, get him off of our team, I would rather have Jannero Pargo back...He played with no heart, he let Billups get open all night, and we payed for it. Shaq didnt get to the line enough, the team didnt get to the line enough.

We didnt move the ball around..argh just disgusting... Kobe was the only one playing like he wants to win...IF we lose the next game, I guaruntee we will loose the series..if we lose the series than i am almost positive the following will happen:

    GP will leave (good)
    Kobe will leave (horrible)
    Malone will leave (bad)
The Lakers will be in the lottory draft (bad)

Ben Wallace has developed a decent 15 footer, he was working on it all off-season, and in game 1 Shaq didnt respect it, and we lost because of that

He hasn't a good decent shooter, he was 3/9 last night and you just have to see his shooting mechanic to see that he is not a threat whatsoever. And for sure the lakers didn't loose because of wallace 15 footer.

Anyway i'm not a laker fan, but I were i will be really pissed of payton lack of performance. The thing is that I love this guy and I just can't understand how a future HOF can just give up like that.

I disagree. I'm hoping the recent performances of the Spurs and Pistons will prompt teams to create well-rounded squads, with chemistry, as opposed to just whacking a superstar or two with some no-namers and expecting a championship. You can't blame the Spurs for making the Nets play deplorable offense last year, nor this year with the Pistons and Lakers. Simply, there is no contigency plan for offense... no one outside of Kobe and Shaq can beat their man one-on-one.

Bravo to the Spurs and Pistons, I say. Their aforementioned opponents are over-rated teams, and it should be up to them to lift to the same standard, not vice-versa. Call me crazy, but I actually like a team that will make you work for your points, as opposed to someone like Dallas who won't contest a shot simply so they can get the ball back quicker.

WOW what a game last night...although iwas bored watching it around the 3rd quarter. They were killing the Lakers!! Lakers havent seen a defense like the pistons got...teams in the west play no defense they are offense minded teams...thinking how can i score! Remember Offense wins games Defense win Championships.
Pistons will win this series but i think it gonna go to 7 games!

This was a great win for the Pistons.

Only two more wins and then the Pistons will have the Championship. I'm so excited.

I believe if any other team expects to win a championship any time soon they'll now realize that they should not try and develop team that is similar to the Lakers that has multiple stars. But instead I think they'll realize from this series that in order for their team to have any legetimate chance for contending for a NBA Championship these teams will have to focus on their team chemistry and and all around individual team team games.

P.S. I also believe the Pistons are really doing the NBA good with there style of play, because I believe with the recent trends that the NBA was going through (with western conference teams dominating the eastern conference teams during regualr season, playoff, and championship games) That teams in the near future will step up their games and the NBA will become alot more competitive and unpredictable.

Malone's injury is really hurting the Lakers. Without him in the lineup for a substantial amount of time, the Lakers really are a lot less good. We saw during the regular season how the Lakers struggled without him and we're seeing it again in the Finals.

If Malone's injury keeps him out of the game for a large amount of time and Payton continues to be a non-factor, the Lakers will lose this series.

Once upon a time a demoralized Laker team found themselves down 0-2 to the Spurs. The Lakers looked defeated, out coached, and didn't have the answers to beat the Spurs. Then all of a sudden the Lakers showed up with a game plan, made adjustments, made a miracle hoop, and went on to win 4 straight games against the defending champions.

The moral of the story is the Lakers have been here before. They know what they need to do, they know their backs are up against the wall, and they know they need to come out with fire in the next game.

The Lakers need to start the game aggressive and set a tone early. Two signs the Lakers are not playing their game I've noticed all season. When they are giving up offensive rebounds and allowing uncontested layups. The Pistons deserve all the credit for controlling every aspect of the games. They have outplayed the Lakers in all 3 games and they executed to perfection.

The Lakers need the bench to step up or Payton to have a monster game. Both are possible, but unless one of those two things happen along with Shaq and Kobe getting theirs, it's going to be hard for the Lakers to comeback. We need at least 5 points a quarter from the bench. I have faith in the Lakers making it a series again. They will marinate in embarrassment after Game 3.

    [IMG] YES SIR!

I think Lakers are just bound to pull this off one way or another, I've seen them do it so many times. And for once, I'm on the other side of the fence. I have always been like number 1 Laker hater for years but this time, just cause of Payton and Malone(since Reggie's gone) I want them to win so bad. All I know is Glove have to step his game up big time, pull it up couple notch, I can't believe how horrifyin he's been playin all series long... if he wants it that bad, he needs to show it in his game more. I don't know what's up with all the struggling, I guess some things are just harder to come by for guys like that.

Shape this predicament is a little dif though, We are down 2-1 but still have to play in Det for two more games, in the SA series we went home down 2-0..I do agree with you though, We have been there and we know how to do it.
