Somebody please just rename this "the whining thread". Like 90% of the posts in here are complaining about calls, 10% is about the game of basketball.

Well, I'm glad the refs handed the Celtics this game. Talk about some total garbage reffing. There's no excuse for the Lakers to only shoot what, 10 free throws? Did the refs leave their whistles on Bostons end of the court? My god, I never realized homecourt advantage also involved having the refs in your back fucking pocket, but apparently it did. Oh well, the Celtics looked VERY vulnerable at the end, and they're not going to be going back to LA all that confident after blowing a 24 point lead. If it wasn't for the refs, I don't see how the Lakers lose. They lose by 6 and get outshot after the foul line by 28. Give the Lakers a few more calls, and this game is entirely different.
This years finals are like a present from the NBA Gods to make up for the suckage of last years finals. IT'S ONLY GOING TO GET BETTER.
Amazing comeback from the Lakers. I really thought they were going to come back and win the game. They made a crucial mistake in fouling Paul Pierce with about 20 seconds left. It was a two point game, Lakers had all the momentum and time was running out on the shot clock. The Lakers just played too aggressive defense on that possession and you really can't blame them because of the energy and adrenaline they had at that point. If they wouldn't have bumped Pierce, that would have left him with an off-balance fadeaway over two Laker players - he probably would have missed it and given the Lakers the ball, down by two with twenty seconds to go. The way they were playing, the game would have gone to OT or a three would have won it for them. That one play made such a difference to send Paul to the line and make it a four point game with twenty seconds left. Ugh...
What a good finish. Finishing the 4th seems to be Bostons biggest downfall, they were very lucky to scrape out this win, especially after being up by 22 or so at one stage.
The Celtics are mentally soft for even letting this game almost slip. I'm taking the Lakers in this series.

We've been frustrated the whole game. If you think this thread is bad, take a look at LG and CL and then tell us we complain a lot.

Do you honestly feel the game was officiated fairly? Lakers had a total of 28 team fouls and the Celtics shot 28 FTs. Celtics had a total of 21 team fouls and the Lakers only shot 10 FTs. I am just flabbergasted how blatant it was ... It wasn't like the Lakers weren't attacking the basket early on, they just could not get calls. While touch fouls the other way ... but I guess that's karma for Game 6 against Sac a few years ago.
I love all these "defensive highlights" they're showing from the Celtics. It's basically showing all the hacks the Celtics had on the Lakers. Really, I doubt there's too many "defensive highlights" ESPN could show for the Celtics without it being a blatant foul. The "okey-doke" is more like a 4 step travel. Sweet! I love this game!

I swear to God that call on Kobe when he did the spin and layup, had me literary wanting to cut the ref's head off. Whoever had the ball is a dumbass, he should of passed it to Kobe but instead to Sasha which he fucking missed. Un. Fucking. Believable.
My hate for Pierce is at its highest. We got no calls we fouled to much and we got no calls, I could recall about 5 fouls that were not called. Lakers need to win all games at Staples.
