Here's how I see it: IMO, this is actually a trade favoring not Miami, but New Orleans. They get two promising, young players in return for....drumroll, please.....a useless second round pick named Roberto Duanes. Utah are the clear losers, seeing as how they give up a lot of youth and potential for a useless, stupid player in Ostertag. As for Miami, it all depends on whether Walker and Williams are willing to become the 3rd and 4th scoring options on a team. Both have egos. Both like to catch and shoot. And both like to be the focal point of an offense. But all that'll have to change. I think Williams will probably adjust faster, with Shaq rubbing off some maturity to the whole team, which is just what Williams needs, along with some work on the other side of the floor. Walker will have to face the facts: he can't keep shooting threes every time he gets the ball at the perimiter. He can't get angry when he doesn't get the ball on offense. And he, like Williams, will need to learn to play defense. I think Posey is the sleeper in this deal. He can be a monster off the bench, or a great role player at SF. All he needs is the motivation. I like this move for Boston, too. They're definently going into a rebuilding mode, getting an excellent core of future stars, with Paul Pierce's days in green looking gone, and soon, too. Qyntel Woods could, if given the minutes, develop into a great role player. I can't say much about Curtis Borchardt, but at 25, he still has plently of time to get to learn the game and improve his skills. Miralles isn't much, and is just another example of the wave of European players entering the draft that will do close to nothing in the NBA, but the 2 future second rounders could eventually really help the team. Finally, there's Memphis. It seems management has finally decided to change the roster. Popular players from last year like Stromile Swift, Bonzi Wells, James Posey and Jason Williams are gone now. Enter Damon Stoudamire and Eddie Jones, the team's newest aquisitions. Jones has valuable veteran experience, and could become a good leader to the team. Lopez hasn't had a chance to prove himself yet, and will be playing in Spain next year, so there isn't much there. But I think they lost in this trade; Andre Emmett has potential, and Jason Williams and James Posey are solid players. As with Miami, only time will tell if Memphis gained or lost in this trade. Overall, I think the Hornets won this trade, followed by Miami, then Boston, then Memphis, and finally Utah.
