It was a b/r report article talking about millsap. If they are trying to clear cap for millsap then we'd probably have to take on someone else's contract as well. (We also have that 3 million trade exception as well) Either way, just throwing a possibility out there, I know that's all these lists really are anyway. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
I think those are moves we will make further down the road in FA. Offensively he'd be a great get though. I've liked him since he was in SAC. Always been a blazer killer. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
Yeah that was one problem with the rigid Stotts sag the big man back defense last season. If we encountered an elite midrange shooting guard we were in trouble. Perhap that will change with more athletic bigs; and more athleticism in general.
My thought on players like udrih or even a back up SF such as dunleavy, pierce, prince (assuming LMA comes back and we are potential contenders) we would probably have the MLE to try to get one more solid vet to come off the bench. There is just so much to speculate about but it is all very interesting. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
Beno isn't a free agent he has a deal with a non guaranteed contract worth $2,170,465 next season and gets $923k if wavied by 7-5-15. Nick Calathes will most likely entertain offers over seas. He had a stretch of games when he looked like a player that could get a 3-5 mil deal in the NBA if he had played that way consistently.
Cavs have spent $230 million today and that doesn't include possibly trading Brenda Haywoods nonguaranteed contract for more salary, paying Dellavedova, retaining JR Smith, or that kid from Akron.
Potentially Cleveland could look like this: Irving / Delly Shumpert / Smith / Harris LeBron / Osman / Miller Love / Thompson Mozgov / Varejao / Christmas That leaves two open vet min spots that will be filled by James Jones and likely another PG That team is fucking loaded.
Good list! I think Gerald Green would be a nice pickup. He and Aminu would take care of the SF position. Green brings the offense while Aminu brings the defense. I think it would be good to bring Freeland back for a reasonable contract as well. No telling how ready Vonleh is, and he can play both center and PF. I've also always liked Carl Landry.
I remember when John Nash was interested in drafting Green, but Green refused to play against anyone during the drills, he said his dad advised him not to. So he took Webster instead.
Kevin Pelton has an interesting article rating the available free agents by real plus minus (RPM) and estimating their dollar value for the next 3 years. Link to the article LeBron $156 million in value for next 3 seasons DeAndre $107 mil Kawhi $101 mil Love $89 #5 Draymond Green $88 Butler $87 Millsap $73 Danny Green $72 LaMarcus $69. (Pelton explains RPM underrates LMA value and it should probably be $93.5) #10 Monroe $69 Duncan $62 Marc Gasol $62 (also underrated as long 2's help but RPM ignores them) Middleton $62 Tyson Chandler $56 #15 Carroll $53 Dragic $51 Wesley $51 (ignoring Achillies injury) Amir Johnson $48 Ellis $48 #20 Beverley $45 Ginobili $45 Reggie Jackson $42 Brandon Knight $42 Robin Lopez $42 #25 Ed Davis $38 Tobias Harris $38 Jae Crowder $37 JR Smith $36 Thad Young $35 #30 Shumpert $34 Asik $34 Tristian Thompson $34 Al-Farouq Aminu $34 Brook Lopez $33 Paul Pierce $31
