I heard Kerry backed out? Man....4 more years of Bush....good luck. Well, atleast he's an easy target for the world to poke fun at. Too bad he represents the most powerful country on Earth.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chungster:</div><div class="quote_post">Now tell me how the hell the trades between the U.S and Canada would differentiate depending on which president the U.S elects? Ignorant or not, it's all going to be the same. It's like my life will be affected drastically if Kerry is elected? I've lived during 3 or 4 president reigns and my life hasn't been affected any differently. </div> actually it will not only affect you but the rest of the world as well. it may not affect you directly but you can still feel the effect.
I thought it was kinda odd to start the season on Election day, I don't know if they will do this again. I think the only thing the league probably lost on was TV ratings, I would figure most people at the game voted before the game. But on to Bush, I don't think Bush is the greatest President and I didn't think Kerry would of made a great president; but Bush has went through probably more than any other President in history, FDR and Lincoln maybe the only one close to him. When he went into office the economy was on a steady down-fall from the Clinton administration, then he helped the economy back up, sure it wasn't to the Clinton years' peak, but who else has had an economy that strong? But when everything was looking good and grand for Bush, 9/11 happened. We have never had a thing that powerful and devistating hit our nation ever, the only thing comes close is Pearl Harbor and Pearl Harbor was a military base, and not even a state at the time, while 9/11 was on the two most powerful cities in country and two of the most power cities in the world. That is alot for anyone to take in on their first year in office. I don't care how great a leader is, no leader could make perfect peace and defeat terrorism, yet you can contain and learn where it is from. I believe that Bush going into Iraq now may not look like the best thing, yet at the time, he had a bi-partisian committee that had gained enough information to believe they had a reasonable reason to go to war. And I also believe the world is a better place with Sadam Husan and his sons out of power in Iraq. That is one reason I voted for Bush was that he does not back down and he has made the world a safer place, and I don't know if Kerry could do that especially with his previous voting record. I hope I didn't offend anyone, I tried to write this as un-bias as I possibably could. And if anyone who wants to intellegently discuss politics PM me, this is one topic I really like discussing in an orderly manner.
