Game Thread NBA Playoffs Thread - 2023 Eastern & Western Conference Finals!

I think Foster is one of the best in the league. Along with Tony Brothers and Zach Zarba. Refs are up & down. Everybody seems to hate Foster. But i think he tries to just be a technician , and keep the emotion out of it. The Heat need to focus on what they have to do. Mainly "hit some freaking shots". I think the Heat have a good chance. At least i'm hoping so. Boston having a chance to win a title again in my lifetime is too soon.

Not shocking the NBA wants a big market in Boston in the Finals with a "small" market Denver team haha

 

Ephraim Salaam, Fox Sports Radio Host , former NFL Player, and Laker apologist said nobody in America cares about the NBA getting parity because it's all about the Big Market Teams. I say BUNK! NBA is more like baseball. It's a regional sport. The last Yankees World Series didn't have that great of numbers . The NBA has great fan bases that want their team in. I haven't watched one Finals game that the Blazers weren't in from beginning to end since the early eighties. And have boycotted every Lakers / Celtics matchup due to giving zero fucks for those teams. I will be watching the Denver / ? Finals because of Denver. I want them to win their 1st. For my best friend who is a Nuggets Freak. Not many of those, but lots of bandwagoners. It has to start somewhere. Salaam said the NBA can't be like the NFL and have small market teams like Green Bay win and have big TV audiences. I think true parity like the NFL has would be great for the NFL. The NFL does have an advantage being "America's Passion". People watch the lousy ass Pro Bowl in big numbers. But the NBA has yet to achieve true parity like the NFL . I'm hoping Denver winning a title will help that.

i feel so vindicated watching Caleb Martin ball out in the playoffs. Can't count the number of times I mentioned him on this forum as a guy we should target in FA last year.

He was restricted, but still. Every one of his advanced numbers on both ends predicted this.
