I agree, how felons came to lose the right to vote I don't know. I don't see any reason for it, if they aren't in prison at least. Damn you NBA.
I'm sure he is making a point, I just don't know what it is exactly. I assume it is about people picking and choosing which issues to fight for based on what they care about. Thing is, that is totally fair. If Jimmy John's sandwiches was based there and they wanted to pull the game because the owner hunts elephants that is their prerogative.
It really is what makes us unique and stand apart from the rest of the world. The fact that this country will support my right to freedom even in the face of defiance against my own country, is in itself miraculous based on our history of mankind. For example. I have the right to burn the American Flag ( I never would), but the fact that our constitution protects its citizens in such a manner is incredible. This same country gives the right for the restaurant the ability to refuse service to whomever they feel, and it gives the right for the NBA to boycott such a restaurant based on a different political/social belief. The fact that the NBA is exercising this right is proof how great this country is. When things like this are allowed to play out, the will also level out. Meaning that if the NBA doing this, is wrong, it will hurt them down the road in a decrease of fandom. IF the restaurant is wrong, then they will lose out on business as patrons will avoid them in favor of another restaurant. In order to have such freedoms, they must come with both sides of the effects. For example, you cant have Freedom of the press and speech without having pornography.
The thing people forget about freedom is that we have to live with the consequences of it. Using a restaurant analogy is perfect. We all have the freedom to east fast food for every meal. There isn't much worse you could do to your body. So, people are free to use their friend's Facebook posts to shape their ideology. Worrying about the outrage of the day when there are bigger issues to tackle is par for the course. I'm using my freedom to ignore all of it and ride it out.
HAHA nice! Yeah, its funny how some people will get on social media outlets and blast certain others for their "Ignorant and unknowing rants" when 99% of those people have the exact same access to the exact same news as you do, so what makes you so much more informed than the person you are blasting for giving their opinion. It really is an endless cycle of absurdity to spend all one's time on a social outlet dissecting others' opinions and then blasting them when they differ from yours. Some of it is surely entertaining read though! In this country, everyone is entitled to thier opinion. And everyone is entitled to make fun of that opinion... doesn't mean you should. Just like everyone is entitled to eat every meal via fast food. Doesn't mean you should...
So I'm guessing your lawn is filled with homeless people...excercising their squatting rights for the good of the country and transgenders are now free to use your lawn to relieve themselves?
Everyone is full of it. I just saw Matt Damon interviewed, he wants to move to Australia if Trump wins. Pissed about a wall mostly. I'd like to see an illegal from Home Depot play Jason Bourne and see how he feels.
Matt Damon has lived in Italy for a long time anyway. He can afford to live everywhere. Trump only has power of people if they let him. I'm not leavin' my land because of Washington DC and the snake oil salesmen. There just was not one good candidate this lose-lose election year..it's sad but life goes on.
Riding my bike yesterday through the springwater trail it was pretty ironic to see no trespassing signs dotting the homeless camps. One even had a warning security camera sign!
I just want to understand this straight. The homeless people had signs up telling others not to trespass on their camp???
Consider the source of this link, just the first one that popped up on google but who knows.... https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...cDFUsEhuNnNIvd_GA&sig2=A6xzF8WI_bFaQ8-DTPFzHw
I think I will because I am dissatisfied with the two party bullshit that wastes my tax dollars and spends more time explaining what they've done than doing something...it's time for gov't to get a no vote across the board or we've all already lost anyway.
Person Is your lawn public? I also think homelessness is a bigger problem than trans identity issues. Homeless people aren't friends with the NBA. LBGQT is because they have money. It's all silly in this regard.
I've got no objection to people voting for Johnson if they think he's the best candidate for the job. If you like what he's selling, and think he can be a good president, then by all means, vote for him. I'm not sure voting for someone you don't think is the best candidate in order to 'send a message' is a good strategy, though. Bit like burning down your house to make a point to your spouse. Republican voters already burnt down their house this year. Are they better off now? Should the entire country follow suit? barfo
That's a reasonable opinion. Fortunately, it's not either/or and addressing one important issue is beneficial even if it doesn't address a potentially larger issue.
