Being that Florida is a Covid 19 hotspot, the NBA should consider paying a staff of support workers to stay 24/7 during the Playoffs. The trade off would be, support workers(maids, restaurant workers, maint. personnel, and security,etc.) would be paid nonstop 24 hours of pay per day for working 8 hr. shifts and staying quarantined during the playoffs. As teams get pared down, staff would be as well till the playoffs are complete. Top employees could be rewarded by getting to stay and make more money. My friend and i figured it would cost an extra 30 mil. to pull it off. A worker making 20/HR. could take home as much as 30 grand. in the little over 2 month tourney. I would clean crappers for that. Did it for Cintas(Sanis) position for 8 months. Yes no family for that time, but you work 8 per day and live in a nice hotel. You get a day off per week to get rest. 30 grand is life changing money for guys like me who struggle in today's economy. 30 mil. doesn't grow on trees, but to prevent Covid from potentially hammering the Bubble with support workers able to come and go home, the cost could be way more. 30 mil. is small compared to the money the League stands to make by the return. Non quarantined support workers makes no sense. Especially in Florida.
That would quickly turn into a lot of sex, VD, and pregnancies. A bunch of young NBA players with access to locked up hotel workers? Sounds like an amazing Netflix reality show. Or Pornhub.
