hoping for a logo well known enough to not need words. but not so well known that people automatically recognize it.

    maybe something like this

    local, big enough to pay.

just as long as it was just the logo i think it would be ok. would they technically be a competitor of nike?

Since Seattle doesn't have a team, might it be a sponsor from there instead of just Portland?

so far, the only financials out on it are philly, 5MM per year. id peg that as about average, but the lakers or knicks could very well get 20MM a year, guess we will see.

5MM per x 30 teams is 150MM. owners skim 50% of the top, so 75MM. the other 50% goes into the nba revenue pool, which the owners recieve 50-51% of, with 49-50% going to the players in effect by raising the salary cap. unless im confused and this is all nonsense.

so give or take, 3.75 million dollars per team per year.

It will definitely be a national or international brand that buys it. The majority of the brand recognition from NBA fans for the jersey logo will come from people outside of the NW, via SportsCenter highlights, games broadcast in China, etc. It would be a waste of money for a company that only sells products or provides services in the Portland area (or even just the NW) to buy it. And those type of corporations typically wont be able to afford it either.
