    Re: NBA trade rumors

Bogut signed an extension last offseason. Hes under contract for 3 more years.

And the Warriors would probably use the $8 million TPE they got in the Iguodala trade to try to pick up a defensive wing to start and bring KMart off the bench. Targets could be Afflalo, Gerald Henderson, Thad Young, etc. They've been linked to Afflalo a little bit, their GM is from UCLA and seems to be rumored for UCLA guys quite a bit.

    Re: NBA trade rumors

I think they are both good. Like we have discussed in the past, guards and wings are more dominant when it comes to scoring late in games, and therefore seem like more of a difference makers, but bigs like Love and LA are highly skilled for their position and are needed on the floor.

I think once Love gets on a team with another all-star, and the right coach, he will be a very important piece to a playoff team. His stats will go down but the wins will go up. Right now he is still a Prima Donna, and rubs some players and fans the wrong way, but I would prefer he not go to GS.

But at the same time Clay Thompson would be a big loss. Kind of like when they traded Mitch Richmond for Billy Owens. Run TMC was hard to stop and they screwed that up. Would breaking up the Splash Brothers be a mistake too?

    Re: NBA trade rumors

After saying it would not happen local media is now saying it will and the general opinion is it helps Minny more than GSW. Reportedly Mychal Thompson is furious, well, not reportedly, he said so himself.

    Re: NBA trade rumors

I will always be a Mychal fan, but he can piss me off. Some of trade scenarios in the past for the Lakers have been on the arrogant side. He thinks the elite players in the NBA should be given to the Lakers. And now he wants Love playing with his son and Curry. Well Mychal you kind of have to give up something to get him. I am sure he would prefer it to be Lee and Barnes that are sent packing. That would be an ideal scenario......for GS. Damn the Warriors have a lot of extra assets they can move in trades. (Throw in Iggy too as an option)

I don't like this as I think GS gets better. Was hoping Love was going to end up on the celtics in the east

I think even with Martin and Love we're better. A lot of their guys are injuries waiting to happen.

Doesnt mean anything but still and interesting tweet:

    Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
Strip away markets and ask yourself: Why wouldn't Aldridge-Lillard-Batum core be supremely attractive partnership for max free-agent star?

Because the Blazers don't have max free-agent cap space, and it's about the money.

    To Philly:
    #7
    Steve Nash

    To L.A.:
    MCW
    Thad Young

This is beyond one-sided for the Lakers.

    Wtf.

    Re: NBA trade rumors

    Is it?

Philly stays well under the cap, and adds Exum and Randle to Noel, plus the 10th pick. That is an intriguing team. MCW is just not that good. Thad Young does nothing for that team. If Cleveland isn't sold on Wiggins or Parker, Philly could use 7 and 10 to maybe move up to get Wiggins and have he, Exum and Noel

Apparently it would be a three-way that would send Love to GS.

    Re: NBA trade rumors

One of the worst years not to have a pick. Seeing some of the names being mentioned, do some of you still think Leonar_ can get us a pick? This is a great draft

I have this feeling that the guy Neil is going for is Elfrid Payton.

Leo won't be enough. Not even close.

@AlexKennedyNBA: Several teams want to acquire a first-round pick (Warriors, Blazers, Pelicans, Knicks), but teams are really valuing their firsts this year.

    Re: NBA trade rumors

no way Leonard comes close to getting a first that isnt at the end of the draft but why are some of these names available? Mostly because they are going to get overpaid. Thompson is looking at a contract that will be well over 10m a year.
