I've seen quite a few Rockets in Houston, and I have yet to see any of them with any "guady jewelry". Does that mean it's ok for them not to carry a gun because David Stern's crappy opinion? Looking at them negatively doesn't mean I'm "blaming hip hop" -- precisely because they aren't intrinsically linked to rap music. They are problematic, regardless of where they originate. I don't think you even know the % of players who grew up in poverty. Let alone, being from the ghetto doesn't equate to being a thug. Ask Tom Delay or Dick Cheney.
