You and me both man, I wanted him to dribble out more of that clock, but when he made it, I fucking jumped and screamed, and I was in the middle of Best Buy watching it, haha.
The refs lost their whistles when it came to Duke playing defense. Cal were fouled a few times, and there were no calls. I just felt like I was watching the Lakers play the Timberwolves with the respect factor. Even Guiterrez had one play where he clearly was there for the charge, and they called it a blocking. Cal were jobbed and lost tons of momentum in some parts of the game.
Freaking wow, Butler runs off 11 in a row after falling down by four. Dogs 61, Oompa-Loompas 54 with 37 seconds left.
Not that they are playing today, and I allready know the answer, but is there a better coach in March, then Tom Izzo?
Butler has been amazing. I never would of thought they would be a program on the merge of getting to the Final Four.
I'm liking MSU's chances vs. Tennessee, but more than anything I'm shocked the Vols beat Evan Turner and his 31 points. That guy is freaking awesome. In any case, this is shaping up to be pretty strange Your Final Four * Butler or K State (I have the utmost confidence in Butler here. K State might be tired and forget their shoes. Or something) * Duke or Baylor (Baylor? Really? Could you give those Duke asswipes an easier opponent?) * UK or West Virginia (Something expected, at least) * MSU or Tennessee. Go State! But yeah, it's gonna be kind of weird if the Final Four ends up featuring Duke, UK and MSU, all traditional powers, at a time when two out of the three had what were basically down years. What's that mean?
Out of the Elite 8 teams, 6 of them were ranked in the the preseason poll in the top 11, while Kansas State and Baylor were unranked (Baylor received no votes). Pretty crazy how even though some teams didn't stay ranked high throughout the year, that when it comes down to 1 game elimination, talent does rise to the top.
I hate that MSU and Butler have to play each other to get to the finals. And that Duke is there at all. I'm considering getting tickets, but it's a pretty sizeable expense. I don't know if I could take Duke winning.
I dont want to take anything away from Butler, but why are all the ESPN people picking them to win? MSU's bench would start on that team.
