I was when he was fighting in the UFC for sure. Penn had some good fights! Always seemed to get gassed out early though. I also liked watching him on The Ultimate Fighter when the UFC did that show. Not sure if that’s still a thing anymore?
i have the first ten season or so on dvd. He was one of my favorite and the bj vs jans season was great. Also a huge fan of him when he was fighting. How rubbery he was was pretty unique.
Going to be another issue when mid term and 2024 come around. Im a pro immigration dude but I'm also for sound management and believe there can be more done to reform immigration.
We need to have a better system for immigrants so that they come through the checkpoints rather than thinking they have to cross rivers and dig under/ climb over fences to get a slice of freedom. We need to have judges, more of them, just for these cases, so things can be expedited. Or issue them temporary status and let them in, knowing who they are, and with a later court date to affirm citizenary.
The immigration “problem” should have and could have been solved early in the GW Bush administration. It was the last time there was actual bipartisan support to come up with feasible solutions. Dumbya dug his heels in because his rich ranching, farming and business buddies wanted nothing to do with anything that would interfere with their source of cheap labor. Since then, the problem had gotten even bigger, with fewer solutions (or bipartisan agreement) now feasible. The current “crisis” is truly on the Republicans for sitting on their hands instead of actually governing twenty plus years ago. Same old shit, different day………..
We need to have serious punishment and enforcement of the punishments for the HIRING, RENTING TO, and DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH illegals. What we're doing now is cruel, we are creating an exploitable workforce and turning a blind eye to it. If illegal immigration is really this giant problem then we need to act like it. This is like if we tried to solve illegal drug use by only arresting and punishing drug users and never going after the drug dealers. Right now we are demonizing these people, treating them like they are subhuman, and then allowing businesses and individuals to profit off of them and victimize them. There are multiple industries in this country whose business model is dependent on illegal immigrants. And I'm not talking about just farmers. Our meat processing plants, roofing companies, landscaping, just to name a few. We can't truly solve this problem unless we actually have an idea of how big of a "problem" this is.
The title should read, "How a nerd walked right into a Cartel that kidnapped him for ransom when he tried to date their cousin" Juanita finds about 3 of these guys a week...it's a booming business!
