Freeland might be 28 but it's not the years, it's the miles and he's pretty fresh in NBA miles. Like a used car that seems older but is garaged most of it's life. I'd hate to give up Freeland. Olshey is sneaky clever with his guarded behind the scenes activity. I've learned that whatever he's doing, you won't know until 24 hours before it happens

I think Meyers has shown he can hold down the backup 4/5 spot well enough that Freeland and Robinson can be moved in the right deal. I'd be interested in making a consolodation trade then maybe taking a look at Michael Beasely who will be available to sign on Feb 2nd.

There is no need to sell me. I would rather they take T.Rob than Freeland. I just doubt they want T.Rob

I would disagree with this big time. Meyers has not proven a thing in the C position, only as an outside shooting PF who is shy of banging it out in the inside. Yeah his confidence is going, but at Center, he would be an average starter at best, but as a PF, he might very well bring as much to LMA in a few more years with regards to outside shooting, developing a high post game and crashing the boards. I however do not think he will ever be a good defender in the C position. Freeland is our only backup C for the long term in my opinion and until he is replaced, he is fairly untouchable. As much as I like him and value his role on the team, Kaman is a short term rental. In 2 years When Kaman retires, Joel could backup the center for the next decade and Meyers backup LMA.
Think of our starting 5 all injury free with Joel and Meyers as backup. We would not lose an inch of wingspan, just some offence, but if they play the same type of game as the starters, then they just need to kick it out to a shooter and BAM, we have a 1-10 that is a serious contender ( this is all with continued growth of course)

This thread is a waste of time. lol

Some of you think we can net a guy like Afflalo (an All Star last year) for our misfits/scrubs?

Claver's really going to sweeten the pot....

You have to look at trades from the outlook of the other team. Why would Denver do that. Give a solid starter to a divisional foe for scraps. Really?

    +1

Outside of the starting 5, the team has no serious trade assets. No deal coming anytime soon. We might as well just reconcile ourselves to riding it out.

I think our main asset is our 2015 pick alongside CJ, if we can sell a team on him.

He will make a move for a backup Wing, this isn't something that is suddenly going to transform this team and were getting a new starter that is an upgrade. Olshey is too smart to mortgage the future for right now. Most of the wings that are rumored to be available are expiring contracts so its not going to be a big trade and the one i'm personally hoping he has been holding out for is something like Claver/Barton/Trob and a 1st for Afflalo.

We just need Rolo and Freeland to get healthy. Our problem is the boards. We were dominating teams on the boards when those guys were healthy.

Well if we continue to play like complete dog shit and Lillard can't hit the broad side of a barn, we're fucked so we might as well do something.

The nuggets got afflalo for Evan Fournier and the 56th pick.

If we gave them McCollum, trob and a first I think they bite. they get a first, a young prospect and guaranteed salary dump (afflalo could opt in this off-season).

that won't get it done, for Afflalo IMO it will have to e CJ/pick/Trob, that "might" get it done. Green was had for a late first and scrubs, we missed on that one
