Did The HCP get any serious consideration as a maker of fine stick figure/crayon drawing threads or did you guys just humor him?
I'm still upright! covid era lockdown brought me a Martin guitar and my Beatles bucketlist Epiphone Casino....got a looper pedal and it's like having friends to play with! Good to see you around my friend!
He was doing great until the G league died last season...took the wind out of his crayola sails I'm afraid
I lost hope having Neil at the helm years ago, but the worst GM in Blazer history was easily John Nash. At least Soapy has some positive stuff to point to. Every single move Nash made was fail. STOMP
He would answer emails from fans. Someone told me he did and I was a bit sceptical but I emailed him and holy shit, he did.
I also factored in years — Olshey kept this team on a treadmill for an entire decade Nash’s reign of terror only lasted 3 seasons.
The best team he built was the year the Blazers went to the WCF. That team had shooters, including Seth Curry. Since then, he filled the bench with FA brickers. You can NEVER, have enough shooters.
I was amazed he was doing that, but not in a good way. How desperate for good PR was he? Maybe he'd have made better decisions if he'd focused on his job/team instead of incessantly throwing a dog a bone? "We don't need Chris Paul, we've got Sebastian Telfair!" That was his worst of the worst but all his moves were stunningly stupid at the time & look even worse in retrospect. SAR and Zack sharing the frontcourt, what could go wrong? Worst Blazer GM ever. STOMP
Ok but seriously, I do appreciate that we’re never gonna have to watch another Olshey press conference again, or hear him talk to Brooke about how silent the phones were at the fucking trade deadline.
