You are not allowed to say this unless you are willing to watch a shitty product in person, be at every game. As well as increase your general spending on Blazer merch/food. Philly couldn't get their fans to continually support the team, which is why NBA owners in 2015 pushed Adam Silver to stop the tanking put forth by Philly. I certainly am not willing to watch let alone put money into an organization which suits up 17 g-league players who struggle to put up 20 points in a game against the Lakers.
Lots of top 5 busts in the draft...TRob was picked at 5...it's a crap shoot...I'll take Evan Turner over Nic Batum or Wes Mathews....who got similar money to ET
Vonleh was drafted #9. By the Hornets. Now there's a team that keeps plenty of salary room under the LT threshold and had lots of lottery picks.
This year and maybe last. They were notorious for not paying much over the minimum, due to small market and all that.
Wes wasn't even drafted....Adam Morrison, Kwame Brown, Lonzo Ball....all top picks...even Fultz can't shoot....it's a crapshoot...Wes got ET money after his surgery....Charlotte is stuck with Nico's deal ...nobody will pay him that scratch again....they are not that old....Wes had terrible handles and couldn't finish a fast break ....Nico was invisible except for about 10 percent of his games...ET is not here to score in bunches but he can get you double digits and defend out of position
Turner was BPA where he was picked. It was considered a weak draft at the time. Aminu went #8 in that draft, and Ed Davis went #13. Former Blazer Luke Babbitt went #16.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess anyone that spends 6 months around here gets a pair of these in the mail with some sort of threat about ever taking them off.
I happen to like ET. He was Iggy lite when drafted, and something like BRoy lite, too. His lack of 3pt shooting hurts, but he's been solid at everything else throughout his career.
I'll save you the trouble....I was 23 years old when we won a championship....I'm still around...good and the bad...this is not a bad time to cheer for the roster...Rueben Patterson, JR Rider and Raymond Felton were all Blazers....Felton and the lockout season was probably the biggest test to fandom I've had...however....I'm waiting for those glasses....when do I get them?
I am a cubs fan all my life. Since the mid 1960s. The team has one of the most loyal fan bases of any team, in spite of all that losing.
The first NBA game I went to was the Knicks at the Baltimore Bullets in Baltimore. The Knicks' star was Clyde Frazier. The Bullets' star was Earl Monroe. Monroe was later traded to the Knicks and paired with Frazer as one of the best guard tandems in the NBA for years. I think it was the '68-'69 season.
