<div class="quote_poster">Quoting InNETSweTrust:</div><div class="quote_post"> I also sure hope that you're not one of those guys who's jumping on to the Boozer bandwagon after he pulled off those straight great games.</div> No I actually noticed last year that he was the human double double. Like you said, "stats aren't everything" , Boozer is not that great of a defender, no, but no one can match his hard work that is why he IS better than K-mart, ANYWAY we are getting off topic so everyone talk about Nets and Cavs not Boozer and K-Mart.
Let's not turn this into a Boozer/K-Mart debate. Boozer has the chance to be better yes, but he needs a few more years to work on rounding out his game, like K-Mart has had. Compairing a 2nd year player to a 4 year player is silly. K-Mart's 2nd year numbers 14.9 and 5.3, so he had to learn how to rebound. Boozer on the other hand has to learn how to defend better. Cavs/Nets fans, let's be happy we have 2 stud power forwards in this weak eastern conference.
But let's face it, the Boozer vs Kmart battle will spell the difference during this game. Jason Kidd will win the PG battle, Z will win the C battle, so it's up to these studs to win the game for them. Oh and someone needs to guard Lebron.
Cavs by 8... Nets streak comes to an end tonight. Don't expect big games out of Z, or even Lebron. Bron Bron will put up average numbers for him...20+ points, I'm seeing maybe an 11 board game from him as well. Boozer will bring down 18 points 12 boards. BIG GAME from Eric Williams and Dajuan Wagner. One of them will score 20. Burn
I read the paper this morning and Tony Battie might be takin off the injured list. He has been practicing and is very antious to get back out there. We need is help running the floor against NJ. As for the Boozer/Martain debate. K-Mart is the man right now no doubt about it. It isn't even worth to argue about.

He would be HUGE against their transition game. But I'm not counting on him playing, so I say we'll just beat this team up! This game will have it all; injuries, fights, technicals, ejections! We'll keep our cool and come out ahead!
Game time! Z is killing us! He has 6 and 5 right now. Kidd has nothing to show but an assist as of this time.
Cavs up 22/16 after 1 Cavs had 10 offensive rebounds in the first Z has 6, 5, and 2 Aaron Williams has 3 and 4 for the Nets Lookin ugly people.
Boozer has 10 boards already. But I'm not at all nervous about this. . Once the Nets gets running, Z will be taken out of the game. Edit: I told you I shouldn't be nervous. Suddenly the Nets are up by 4 with K-Mart waxing hot
Game tied at 40 @ the half Cavs lost a 12 point lead (go figure) Z has 11, 10, and 2 Boozer has 6, 10, and 1 James has 4, 1, and 2 on 1-8 shooting, does not seem to be 100% tonight health wise. Kidd has 10, 2, and 3 K-Mart 9, 3, and 3 Jefferson has 9, 1, and 2 Nets have the fast break points, Cavs have the boards, but this is not a pretty basketball game.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Blinger0723:</div><div class="quote_post">Lebron only has 4 pts. Thats all i gotta say.</div> Took a paleontologist to figure that out... Seems to be favoring his calf. Cavs are seeing a lot of zone tonight...ok, all night.
Do we ever put a team away? We could have been up by 20 in the first half easy if we were playing well. As soon as a team goes ice cold, we follow suit and add maybe 4 or 5 points to the lead. I don't like the bench unit that Silas brings in as soon as we get up by doube figures. They never get the job done offensively, and the other team is back in the game in no time. If I didn't no better, I'd swear we'd drop dead if we ever won a game handily. For some reaason, every game has to be a nail biter. Lebron is not doing anything. We'd be in trouble if New Jersey was hitting the glass. We need to put Kapono in against this zone. I'm tired of Z kicking the ball out of a double team just to watch Williams brick a three. If we had a shooter, so many things would open up for us. Its going to be a struggle in the 2nd half unless we start shooting better than 32%.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting redscoon:</div><div class="quote_post">Do we ever put a team away? </div> All young teams struggle to put teams away, no matter how talented, inexpierience hurts them
Nets up 77/64 after 3 Cavs just fell apart again, with James lagging with this calf injury going 2-13 and not attacking the basket at all, we just can't keep up. Z has 13, 14, and 4 Boozer has 8, 12, and 1 K-Mart has 16, 6, and 3 Kidd has 14, 5, and 8 Jefferson 14, 6, and 4 Kittles 20, 3, and 2 James does have 5 assists and 2 boards to go along with his 9 points.
We're the Nets bitch, plain and simple. I said this last week and and it held true tonight. We have nobody that can play defense, so once they get out on the break its over. Just pathetic. Blown out 2 of the last 3 games at home before the break. (Bremer just throws up an air ball as I type this). When teams are playing a zone and we are getting ran out of the building, it might be a good idea to put Kapono in for shooting purposes. Newble sucks. Kedrick Brown must have died. Boozer and James were flat out horrible. We are not even close to being a playoff team.
Nets with a 20 point blowout. I'm going to say this again. This is the beauty of Nets' basketball. You'll never know who to guard because anyone can light it up. This game, Kittles did that with 27 points on 11-16 shooting. K-Mart backed him up with a 21-9 performance plus he neutralized Boozer in the 2nd half. Another double double by Kidd. Plus the Nets shot 48.2% as a team. When you shoot that well and you force 19 TO's from your opponents, it more often than not result in a blow out. Frank tied Rambis and another coach which name I forgot for the best start for a coach with 9 straight wins. Although Frank did it in blowout fashion with all wins in double digits.
Frank seems like a little punk. After every call that went against the Nets, he was out at half court whining to the refs. I'm surprised he wasn't tossed.
