*sniff sniff* This one smelt like a blowout from the start, ladies and gentlemen. And blowouts stink.

The way the Nets are playing I was seeing a win but I didn't foresee a blowout. Managed to see Lebron test out his "Weak Ankle" and just throw down a sick reverse.

Frank tied Rambis and another coach which name I forgot for the best start for a coach with 9 straight wins. Although Frank did it in blowout fashion with all wins in double digits.</div>

The record is 9? For some reason I thought Lenny Wilkens had 10 when he started with Seattle.

I'm sure the Cavaliers are more than happy to see the All-Star break right now.

^^ I stand corrected, you're right. The record is 9 with Rambis and Buddy Jeannette.

I think we just wanted to get this game over as soon as possible. Guys had tee times tomorrow and travel plans were on their minds. Hopefully we can develop the mindset where every game is big, especially the ones against teams in our divison. Oh well, here comes the "second half" of the season! Silas and everyone around him constantly said that his teams always play better come the second half. Let's hope he's right.

Cavs stunk it up like the boys gym locker room tonight. LeBron finished shooting 2-14. Gawd we need someone who can drain a jumpshot. Hey Pax, do something about this.

What annoyed me the most was watching how well they played the first 18 minutes of the game. The defense was right on...probably some of the best defense they've played all year. They were creating turnovers, defenders were rotating right on time and shots were being blocked. And then, like this team usually does, they give a big lead back halfway through the second quarter and that defense and intensity is nowhere to be found the rest of the game.

We are in desperate need of some offensive help.

If Kerry would be as aggresive as he was in the 3rd quarter every game than the Nets would be a total different team as far as winning a championship. And I love K-marts drop step spin move. It starting to be his go to move & it a thing of beauty. Did you cats see the one he put on Z around the middle of the 3rd? K-marts offensive game in the half court keeps growing & growing. The Nets zone really confused the rookie tonight. He was throwing around his chewing gum & talking to himself. He just couldnt find away to score or make plays against it.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting InNETSweTrust:</div><div class="quote_post">^^^Well as long as he's not cursing the ref or something, it should be ok.</div>

No, coaches have a line that they can't cross and it is well before the half court line. Only respected coaches cross it every once and a while to help get a tech. I had a hard time understanding that myself.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CourtVision:</div><div class="quote_post">The way the Nets are playing I was seeing a win but I didn't foresee a blowout. Managed to see Lebron test out his "Weak Ankle" and just throw down a sick reverse.</div>

Calf* which is clearly bugging him, he had no lift last night at all. Should not have even played.

Kittles was the Cavs killer for the 2nd time. We never run back on defense and lack deep threats, so a running team like the Nets that play zone like they did the whole game just kill the Cavs, that simple.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 13 points and a season-high 17 rebounds to pace the Cavs, who hung with the Nets for nearly three quarters before Kittles and Kidd took them apart.

Rookie LeBron James had just nine points -- his lowest output in 29 games -- and shot only 2-of-13 in 29 minutes.

James looked and played tired. Cavs coach Paul Silas wants him to rest during the All-Star break, but that will be tough for him to do this weekend in Los Angeles, where he will be one of the main attractions.

"I'm going to get some (rest)," James said. "It's been a long season. It's been about as long as three of my high school seasons."

Earlier this week, James said he was still thinking about participating in the slam dunk contest. Now, he says he won't.

"I'm out! I'm out! I'm out!" he said. "No more questions about the dunk contest."

Either one would work, hell, Langdon would work with Bron, all we need is a shooter to spread the floor.

    Nets don't Kidd around

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">New Jersey runs away from hapless Cavaliers. Boozer, James struggle

The Cavaliers hope they can find a way to scrap into the playoffs. If it's the New Jersey Nets waiting, though, they might just prefer to stay home.

That's where the Cavaliers seemed to be headed Wednesday as their getaway game before the All-Star break got away from them very quickly. The Nets, fast becoming the class of the Eastern Conference, ripped them for a 105-85 victory at Gund Arena.

For New Jersey (31-20), it was just another day at the office. It claimed its 10th consecutive win, nine under new coach Lawrence Frank, who's looking a lot like Red Auerbach these days.

    No, really.

Yes the line of course. But I think he did that to put the fire back in his team. Look at what happened after that.

Don't fret too much Cavs fans. With the way the Nets played, they could've beaten any team.

Oh Henacy, that drop step he twice (I think) he did on Z was great. Oh and of course his blocks. It's a great thing to see him be mature about blocking. When he blocked Boozer, he actually babied the block to keep it alive. Most players will swat it away with emphasis but K-Mart chose to keep it alive.

Kittles was awesome. He was a recipient of perfect passes from Kidd.

On a brighter side, awesome dunks by Boozer and that look away pass that James did was sweet.

I love the sound of how this went, I'm sad for the Cavaliers, but man this is getting really good. The Nets have become so good simply because of Frank, either that or they just seem to like him better and play harder for him.

I wish Kittles would play like that more often, he seems to have lost his speed and explosiveness as of late. Good to see he still has it. Kidd never seems to falter does he. Were anyone else but Zee and LeBron playing well? Either way good try guys. Wait till next year when you'll be even stronger.

Walt Williams? Is he still alive? I'd be all for signing Glen Rice. We absoultely HAVE to have somebody to spread the floor. Nobody respects any of our shooters. Williams hits one occasionally, but never when we really need one.
