No more dead ass zombie Nets going through the motions and laughing into their towels when things are going bad.

Fuck off RJ, CDR is in town!

We get arguably the top center prospect, a good shooter with size, and a hustle slasher. I know Bayless would have been clutch but Lopez really is insurance and is a decent prospect. We still need a backup pg but now we have some pieces to get one for sure.</div>

KVH's contract has to be traded this summer. That'll bring a PG.

Man what a relief. Disappointing to see Chalmers go to the Wolves, but CDR drops to Nets. Amazing.

Bobby Simmons better bring some game with him if he wants to start cuz CDR is going to challenge him for it.

The Nets need to sign up CDR for a low amount for 3 or 4 years or something. Cuz if he breaks out in his 2nd year he could ask for big money.

Rookie scale won't allow the Nets to do that.

There is no rookie scale for 2nd round picks.

He's a good shooter, but not great. He's a good ballhandler, but not great. He's a good athlete, but not great.

But the reason everyone likes him is because it is so obvious when you watch him that he just knows how to play.

You know that guy you hate playing against because he's always doing things you don't expect and when the game is over it's apparent to everyone he's the reason you lost?

    That's this guy.

    Derrick Rose wasn't a 1st team All-American. It's not all about talent.

What's the maximum number of years you can sign a 2nd round pick for? The Nets can use their MLE (or LLE?) to sign him but for how many years maximum?

I would want this guy signed up for 3-4 years for a low amount than watch him breakout his 2nd year and demand big money. I would take that chance on him.

Hoooooly shit I was shouting "YEAHHH" at the top of my lungs after we made the pick. I was pissed when we passed on CDR for Ryan Anderson! LOL

Great, great, GREAT scorer, and I think his midrange game is a bit under-appreciated. Sorry Maurice Ager, this is the guy who will be backing up Vince

Im still in shock he fell to 40. I've watched so many of his games and almost all of them i saw him as the best player on the court. I don't care about workouts, potential, not being the best this or that, straight up this kid can ball, he's got attitude, plays with emotion, and is not scared to take over. Dudes a leader and i'd be absolutly shocked if he didnt make it in this league. Reminds me of when i watched Arenas kill it for arizona and then get looked over because his measurments and potential wasnt what people wanted to hear.

He reminds me of what Antoine Wright was supposed to be.

We are still going to pick up a PG and another 2/3, but he should be in the rotation.

Before the draft there were hints we wouldnt use this pick(too many young guys) so that tells you they werent expecting him to be there.

Antoine Wright was a guy who improved his three point numbers and can dunk but wasn't that confident in himself. CDR was a dynamite player (many called him the best player on the best team in the country, OVER Derrick Rose) who is a natural scorer: both shooting and driving to the basket.
