6 big men...idk about that.

Personally, I'd be pissed if they picked up Howard.

Okay, let's come back down to Earth now. Nichols IMO would be an even bigger gamble than Sean ever was. He's had confidence problems all his life, HUGE confidence problems. If he hasn't completely gotten over those problems, and came to this team...Wow, he'd never get a minute off the bench. He could possibly turn out worse than Wright on both ends of the floor.

Don't get me wrong, with the right coach, he's great. He can sink every shots, you can't leave him open. And he has all the tools to become a great defensive player, and he's actually shown it before. But with Frank, and with this Nets team, who the hell knows.

As most trades come about, it came from nowhere. I guess NO needs the cash, given they will spend the entire season in NO, rather than playing in sold out OK City. An uninteresting Training Camp just got a little interesting. We'll see who Thorn adds on. Wonder if we add a 7th big on the heels of the Wolves buying out Howard. Well Thorn will be keeping an eye on the waiver wire.

We need another wing in case Wright doesn't progress. I'd love for it to be a younger player instead of some retread.

Finally made it over from BBB. Have been looking at this site for a few weeks now. This is a GREAT trade. 2 bench players would would be lucky to see any playing time in any game this year for Wesley, who though he may be old, is a good shooter, and adds another guard until Marcus comes back. I see most of you say we hsould cut him, but I say we give him a shot, and lets see what hes got, if hes no good then we can cut him. Howard would be a good signing but I doubt he would sign with us, and he would sign with a team that he sees as a bigger "Championship contender" then what he considers we are. We have opened up a lot of oppurtunities with this trade. We need to adress getting a shooter if Wesley is not what he used to be. Great job rod

If they re-sign Hite, they'd have four point guards. (Kidd, Williams, Armstrong, and Hite.)
I'd like to see them get Houston and Hite, but who knows.

Let's sign Mohamed Abukar from Arizona or Mustafa Shakur from SD ST.

Absolutely agree 100%. We need athleticism, defense, and shooting in that order IMO. I'd take that over a guy in Houston's situation any day.

since devin brown and dahntay jones have been scooped up, i agree with cpawfan that derrick byars (defense/offense wing but spotty shooting) would be a nice pickup...

cut malik allen if they can get juwan howard for the minimum (rebounding plus better offense but poorer defense though not that much since allen is not know for defense as well)...

allan houston for more shooting (which was lost when hite left)...

Mile apparently is happy about the trade.

(Love the picture, figured there's not going to be too many more times to use it)

Boston waived Dahntay so he's available.

Malik Allen was playing really well before he got injured and I think they'd be giving up on him too quickly if they did that although he and Howard are similarly skilled bigmen for sure.

I can't see NO keeping Mile, my best guess is that Mile is going back to Europe.

Wasn't there some issue about how he wouldn't take a buyout from the Nets because there weren't teams that wanted him there? I thought I heard something along those lines
