<div class="quote_poster">Quoting thedude9990:</div><div class="quote_post">my friend was there he said it was 3/4 full he said it was great and it felt like there was more ppl there than actually there</div> Yeah even watching it on TV you could tell the crowd was actually into this one from the very start. It definately wasnt one of those nights fillled with fake crowd noises from the loud speakers, to act like the crowd was into it... Anyway, I defenately think Scalabrine deserves alot of credit for the victory. He came out early and took advantage of the mismatch of Kover trying to guard him. Scali scored the first 7 points for Jersey of the game. And that got the crowd going. Then for the rest of the game it became more about his hustle and will against that Philly frontline, Scali was quicker to the ball all night then anyone on Philly's frontline. Coach frank made a wise decision getting Planinic out of there as soon as possible. Planiinc clealry isnt ready for playoff level basketball minutes, but Buford came in that 2nd quarter and played really well. He made some hustle played and knocked down a couple open jumpers. Cliff Robinson played well in that 1st half as well. Overall I think our bench played pretty well tonight, nothing spectacular or any thing. But the guys coach frank brought in were scrappy as heck in the hustle department. Other then that Vince was Vince. And Jason was Jason, they are our leaders so in a big game I expect nothing less then those two to step up and set the table. Anyway, a back to back to end the season is going to be difficult. I would like to win both to have a legitimate chance at a 7th seed in the playoffs. But I think if we get one of the two with Cleveland really struggling that should be enuff to insure a playoff spot.
now we really have a chance or the 7th seed also.. if philly loses against celts and nets beat wiz then it would be tied for 7th and nets hold the tiebreaker so nets would be 7th seed then it comes down to the final game of the season.

So in my opinion best case scenerio for Nets to jump into 7th of course is Nets win both games vs Washington and then Boston. But the best chance for Philly to lose would be tommorrow vs the Bucks. Then the tiebreaker comes into effect of course which give the Nets the 7th seed. But it Philly doesnt lose against Milwaekee I doubt the Nets get the 7th seed cause I dont think Philly is losing to the Hawks.
Scalabrine has flourished in his starting role, and Nets owe a lot of credit to his hustle and focus. He has accepted his role on the bench and adjusted when needed after being called into the starting line up. Even more amazing is this is coming off two injuries in one season that had him sit out for extended periods of time.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Banks:</div><div class="quote_post">38-25 Nets leading...Great start. VC with 15 already. Sixers have committed 8 TO's..5 by Allen Iverson. EDIT: OT...But kobimel, do you still post at the EA Boards?</div> Na, of course not Banks. Too little intelligence there. lol. But anyway, a huge, important win for the Nets. They're back to .500 for only the 1st time since NOVEMBER. That's a huge accomplishment for a team that everybody was already debating about regarding who they'd draft with their lottery pick. This was a great all-around team effort: VC chipped in 43 and 11 rebounds, Kidd had yet another 15+ assist game and another triple-double, and Scaly and Krstic both really helped, both getting double doubles and combining for 31 points and 21 rebounds, and they were able to somewhat shut down Chris Webber. The bench was good too, especially Cliff and Rodney. Now we need to win the next two games, to get the 8th spot, and if Philly loses to Milwaukee, we'll get the 7th spot. We have room for one loss if we're really aiming for only 8th, and that's only if Cleveland loses to Boston or Toronto.
