I'm not going off the theory that Charlotte just want to stockpile NC players, it's just that I'm stationed at Fort Bragg and have gone to Bobcats games and you would be surprised how many McCants jerseys are in the stands...even when Minnesota wasn't in town. McCants is a serious favorite in the area and his Wolves jersey sells very well in NC area. So his attitude doesn't really effect him in Charlotte since he'll have fan support and a fresh start.

But it funny you mention the fact that teams shy away from attitude players attached to exp contracts....that's what make Miller even more valuable. He is a good team guy, goodin the locker room, and exp contract and he can still contribute...when healthy he can help out to the tune of 15-17ppg with 5-6rpg and 3-5 asstpg....and of course everyteam likes to have a guy who can drain an open three with consistency

Absolutely agree with your assessment of Miller. But i STILL think Butler is reaching too high lol. I didnt know that about McCants and his rep in Char-town. I still dont think the team would make a deal for McCants based on the fans liking the guy, but im sure it doesnt hurt.

I still think dealing Miller for a Wally/LaFrentz size expiring and trying to pursue Marvin the Martian in the offseason is the best route.

    McCants for Okafor FTW!!!

lol...man you love Marvin, huh? He would be a nice piece though. But they don't have to trade off Miller to offer Marvin a contract, with Collins & Booth contract exp and if they let McCants walk....that frees up 9mil right there....they could use Miller in a deal to maybe get Hinrich?

    possible lineup next year:

    PG: Hinrich
    SG: Foye
    SF: Marvin
    PF: Love
    C: Big Al

Draft: Scorer off the bench, ie; Harden or Curry....or PG to develop under Hinrich. Jennings, Holiday

Not to mention Cards, Gomes and Mad Dog's contracts exp for the 2010 freeagent rush (about 13.5mil)....with the nice young nucleus that much money could add a very big piece to the Wolves...and by then...with new men righting the ship...player might actually want to come here...lol

I just have this feeling Marvin is gonna beast soon. Dude is sooo young and oozing with potential.

As for the cap situation. True we are going to have 9 or 10M coming off our books at the seasons end, but you also must remember we are roughly $9M over the cap right now. Its at $58 and we are running at about $67M. With the Booth/McCants/Collins trio off the cap we will have about $6M or so left over if we keep Miller and Cardinal. Not a lot of money to do anything with. That is if the Cap stays the same.

I want NOOOO part of Hinrich.

Well, then we need to at least get a young PG and at least a 4mil exp back for Miller...I just can go along with giving up Miller for just cap space and/or picks....hell, we have picks-a-plenty already...but then again...more picks never hurt...we can package them to move up in the draft

Eh, im big on cap savings if it can get us Starvin Marvin ( i love his nickname potential!!!).

If we trade Miller + Cardinal for Wally + Crap then use the cheese to nab M-Dub we essentially traded

    Mayo + Walker + Jaric + Buckner

    for

    Love + Williams

We traded 1 young stud and crap for contracts for 2 young studs. I say we win.

Gibson is BYC, it would be very difficult to make a deal happen. They would likely ask for Telfair in return too.

Im a HUGE Boobie fan, but not really a big Gibson fan,:ghoti:
