I'm not sure banning bump stocks will do any good. From what I've read, shooters simply bring enough weapons and magazines to keep on shooting without too much time to reload. And the bump stocks seem like something plenty easy to jury rig. Home built bump stock for $20:

As far as I am concerned, to give up the ability to own some gimmicky piece of trash for just one childs life, go for it. I'll let the President negotiate this one. I am sort of glad to get to hear one operate though. Now I know what it sounds like to hear it burn part of a magazine like a full auto slowed to half rate, then stop cold, jammed. Now you can rush him and pop him, two to the liver, one to the head.
