Looks like there will be a new competition on Saturday night.

A game of Horse between Curry and Wall. Interesting concept, but it could end up being really whack. I'll be excited to watch it the first time...well 5 minutes of it at least(should it end up being lame). All-Star Saturday could use some new excitement.

It is going to take place during the all-star practice. I wonder if they are going to televise it. The more I think about this the more I think that this is just another way to get sponsorship money, which is utterly stupid and perpetuates the notion that rhe All-Star game is for corporate sponsors, not the fans.

I bet this ends up being forgetable, just like the last time they tried it(I forgot).

Curry, shoots five 3- pointers and wins; the end.

Meh... HORSE is a fun game to play, but pretty boring to watch.

There is nothing they can do to help the weekend other than actually offering up some sort of enticement to actually get the best high flyers to participate in the dunk contest. Thats it. The team concept is no good. Last years skills contest was lame, as was the slam dunk contest. I HAVE liked the skills contest when it is an individual competition though. But lets face it....

It aint nothing like when Jordan was going against Wilkins and the era of the true high flyers being in the competition during the prime of their game. Now we have mostly no namers. There needs to be more incentive for Lebron, Griffin, Howard, etc., the big names, to continue to be in it. If you dont have one of the top 5 stars in the league in the competition then how can you sell it? Big names and true high flyers. Thats what will make it rock again in my opinion.

All-Star weekend is for sponsors and 8-year olds. I don't want any Blazers participating in it - ever. Rather they get a few days rest and relaxation.

Generally agree. It is an honor for the players and they like that, so I will not begrudge them if they get to participate.

I'm a little confused by the rules. Why can't Wall just do a through the legs dunk 5 times in a row and say gg?
