Lets wait till we see. Because KG, Sam, and Spree made the WCF. I don't think these 3 can lead the wolves to the WCF.

Its not even close. Old big 3.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Combined, this "big" three has a stellar 9 all-star appearances...oops, I made a mistake. Combined, Kevin Garnett has 9 all-star appearances.

Your previous and legit big three had a combined, 14 all-star games. If Sam Cassell got half the respect he deserves, that number would be near 20. </div>

I hate when you people bring All-Star appearances into arguements.....They mean nothing. All-Star games are based on popularity and even if you do make it, it doesn't mean your good. Antonio Davis anyone? A lot of people that deserve to be in the All-Star game never go but does really going change anything? No.

The previous "3" is way better even though the other 3 wasn't really 3. [IMG]

Although I have to agree with FreshPrince here, on paper I can't really argue that the current 3 won't be big. Thats yet to be seen though. I do however hope they build good chemistry. All the stuff Cassell and Spree could bring in the others place can't match up to what Mike and Davis could bring if the current 3 has better chemistry than the previous 3.

The only way the new big three will flourish is if Mike James puts his ego on hold. He was a great role player with Detroit, but finally ending up in to Toronto made him cocky, and it made him believe he was capable of becoming a number one option on a team. It'd be better if they had RD and Foye to bring up the ball, just to make sure that James gets limited attempts. Then, and only then might they have a chance to become good.

I dont know why everyone hates mike james so much. Not too many players stay cocky with KG around, look at mccants (i know he was a rook, but still). He put up 20 ppg and 6.5 apg on a bad team, but he is capable of those kind sof numbers, and KG like players like him. He likes guys that wnat to take that shot, and know they can make it.

He's not like TO, where the man's cocky but performs well on the playing field. His arrogance shows in his play through terrible decision making and shot attempts.

It's very possible, maybe even likely that KG will keep James in check, but no way that he actually likes a terrible decision maker who chucks up shots like there's no tomorrow.

Agreed, the former Big 3 was monsterous, no other threesome could compare at the time, these three... well, I guess I'll just watch and see how they play together...

Cassell is a better vet in my eyes, I love his game. He's way more polished then James, maybe not as atheletic as James but he's way smarter as a point gaurd and doesn't take dumb shots.

...well, he definately can take dumb shots, but he just generally makes up for it, when you win, less people notice it, though.

^^that is exactly right. When cassell wsa here i would hell at the tv because he took such dumb shots. He made plenty of em, and usually came up in the clutch so i usually ignored it.

TFP just made me notice something. All the shot chuckers that were on the Wolves eventually fixed their ways and were...."better" shot chuckers.....Starbury, Wally World, and Cassell. Hopefully the same can be said for Mike James.

^^Thats what i have been thinking, he makes players better because people respect him. Even cassell respected him enough to settle down a little. People know that it is his team, and if he doesnt like you, you are gone.

if i was mike james i whould worry about my starting job. if he has to many turn overs and starts taking dumb shots then i think casey will give foye the starting job, thats if he is as good as everybody thinks he will be.

What the heck are you basing that off of, Wally developed his game in Minnesota starting with his rookie year, and has always been known for being a good inside the arc shooter. Cassell didn't get any better or worse just because he went through the T'Wolves, and Marbury isn't just a shooter, hes better when drives to the hoop and creates shots.
