Please let it be Brent Barry.

Do you see this McGowan? For the love of God DONT MAKE US LISTEN TO PJ CARLESIMO!!!!!

Or Brandon Roy. I'd rather listen to fingernails on a chalkboard.

Well my guess is the Trail Blazers would get preference because of the ratings.... but IDK how the contracts are written up.

The team also wants Calabro to play a role in choosing who he’ll be paired up with in the broadcast booth. McGowan said that they are in the process of “developing a short list in collaboration with Kevin” with the hope of hiring a replacement for Mike Rice by the end of the summer. Calabro, who has most recently worked alongside of Hall of Famers Dr. Jack Ramsay and Hubie Brown said he didn’t have any specific candidates, though he knows traits he’s looking for.

“Obviously somebody that can match the energy level night in, night out, that’s right there with me,” said Calabro. “Somebody that is seeing all the nuances of the game. Somebody that’s watching the game within the game, because when you’re the play-by-play announcer, for the most part, your eye is on the ball. Wherever the ball goes, your eyes are wandering with the ball, you try to develop peripheral vision and be able to see the entire floor and so forth. That’s where your analyst really needs to be your key guy. He’s your eyes off of the ball, ball and man. He’s going to be able to paint the picture and pick up anything that you did not pick up in the initial call to add. That’s why they call them ‘color.’ You’re adding little elements that fill in the picture for folks when you’re doing the play-by-play.”

Yeah I read that one. And I disagree two high energy guys is the way to go. You need balance. Like Smitty or Brent.

That sounds nice, I've also noticed Root Sports is nowhere to be seen on the internet tv options, like Playstation Vue and the tv thing Hulu is starting.

If they are really serious about expanding their brand, there HAS to be a streaming/app option available. Don't leave people out like the clowns at Comcast and make it something that has a partnership with DirectTV for goodness sake.

Rice was an old geezer and you know it. Every fan outside of Portland thought so as well. Homer Simpson would be an upgrade.

Id love barry over anyone else.

But gary payton would fit with who he was describing. And has a seattle and oregon connection. As well as some announcer experience.

A lawn mower cam? You mean a camera showing HCP sleeping while "working"? Some people pay big bucks for that.

HCP should totally livestream his mowing job this summer for the forum, it would keep us entertained on the long August days.
