Harkless is not changing out and not sure why nurk going down would create that need. Its leonard or kanter cause there isnt anyone else.
I think Stotts will start Meyers and keep Kanter with the second unit along with Zach...Meyers will go from no burn to starting..the Noah Vonleh treatment...I really hope Meyers does Nurk proud
now is the time to develop collins and start him. Kanter isn't our future and we arent doing shit in the playoffs anyway so develop the young man, give him big minutes in the playoffs and go from there. Stotts already has his out to stay next season now that CJ and Nurk are down, starting anyone else shows just how bad he is of a coach.
Collins is the best rim protector left. He needs to play center. But you need more offense with Collins and more defense alongside Kanter

Sure but stotts doesnt like to play domino. History has shown he will bring in end of bench for less minutes and keep the second unit relatively the same. I dont disagree that collins needs development and needs to work more with dame like nurk does, but dont think for a second dame/stotts is gonna go into tank and development mode. They are going to try to win and go deep since tanking isnt really an option. Its win now so the starter will be someone with more experience than Collins.
If said solution is starting Meyers then I fail to see how that makes us not go into said tank and development mode. Meyeres isnt good enough to help this team try and win and go deep.
no different to me than playing Meyers with Zach...both can shoot from deep...Zach is the better rim protector but Kanter can score in bunches and get a ton of 2nd chance pts...I like the combination of those two..doesn't matter which one is playing close to the rim
Im not saying he is either but the mindset of a champion is not to quit but to work harder. I wouldnt be suprised if Dame nOw tries to will us to the wcf. Will he be able to? Probably not, but i fully believe they will do everything they can to try to do so and that includes not expediting development at this time. Collins will still get more minutes in the long run , so as mentioned, the starter isnt very relevant.

Dame is going to give everything he has. Hes a warrior and the best Blazer Ive ever witnessed (born in 89 didnt get to see the other greats). But Dame isnt quite LeBron and we just lost two of our 3 best players. Thats a tall task for Lillard. And I agree as long as Collins gets big time burn then maybe starting him isnt necessary, but he needs to play a lot and play with Dame as well imo
You are missing the point i and a couple others made. Just because he starts doesnt mean he gets all starter minutes, whoever it is. Why mess with both starting kine up and the bench? Keep the bench intact and comfortable, but collins will still get more minutes because meyers isnt getting all of nurks minutes if he starts. Plus you start collins and he will be fouled out by the middle of the third quarter.
I want to mess with the starting lineup because it is terrible This was before Nurk got hurt. Jake is not a SG. Get another guard in the starting lineup. By starting Collins he will eventually get more respect from the refs. Did you watch the Nets attack the rim with Kanter in there? Not pretty. We need Kanter with the 2nd team
