FYI, Boston rallied together with a bunch of depth after losing their star last season and made a good run. I still think we can beat a few of these teams and make it to the second round.
The one difference I see is those teams had more time to adjust. Least we have a Dame, and I know he's hungry to show he can get them through a round.
Not just time, but ability. All the time in the world doesn't matter if you don't have the ability... (Yes, I'm gonna throw barbs at Terry until the cows come home. In these turbulent times, some stability is needed.)
Do we really have the option of not playing Jake? At the very least for the next 9 games move him back to PF and let him tire out a bigger player. SG's are not having the same problem chasing him around like slower forwards did.
Agree completely. Honestly, I think that if they did decide to leave Meyers on the shelf, that would be the one major benefit, is that Jake would probably go back to playing the 4 alongside either Zach or Enes. Which is also why I think it's likely that Meyers is pressed into service.
We probably have to play him while CJ is out, but in the playoffs I dont know if he should get much run. Maybe playing other forwards will help him.
Here are some lineup net rating stats, all with > 15 min sample size. Dame- CJ-Layman-Aminu-Leonard -- + 20.8 Dame-CJ-Moe-Aminu-Leonard + 2.5 Curry- CJ-Turner-Collins-Leonard -- +14.3 Curry-Turner-Hood-Collins-Kanter -- + 46 I think Meyers needs to start. Get Collins and Kanter off the bench.
