Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan. I'd add Florida.

I think there is a pretty decent chance of Bernie winning the nomination, via the same route Trump took. High floor, low ceiling, lots of candidates.
Biden could win the same way. You don't need to appeal to the majority with 20+ candidates in the race - you just have to have a decent sized base.

Yeah, I like Joe. Partially, I like him because he shore up our national debt while investing in infrastructure. Infrastructure, infrastructure, infrastructure, can't stress that too much. Get people doing an honest day's work.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
It's true that that's why she lost, ultimately, but it wasn't due to arrogance. It was due to a mistaken strategy, a strategy that did overestimate her support in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania (I don't think she overestimated her support in Ohio and assumed she'd win that state) and left her vulnerable when Trump overperformed in those specific states. She tried to broaden the Democratic coalition (much the way Obama did in 2008, winning North Carolina, Indiana and Iowa) and thus campaigned in states trending purple, like Arizona, Georgia and Texas. Had she not narrowly lost Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, it would have been a beneficial long-term strategy for the Democrats--expanding a coalition is good thing for a party. Had she realized how tight those three states were, she likely would have played more defense there.

I don't think Shultz is correct about much of anything. He's just trying to justify his ego trip.

Biden is (like him or not) a very moderate, establishment guy. Not at all a radical. Right now Biden is on top of the polls.
Doesn't that suggest that maybe Schultz is full of shiltz?

I think Joe would do better than Bernie as I don't see the heartland and south totally sold on Democratic socialism.

All of these parties need to start running some young, qualified candidates without the baggage DC has been mucked up in for decades. Hopefully someone who is energetic and needs a job. Let the Trumps, Bernies and Biden's go play golf and do the talk show circuit..that's right...blow it up, start from scratch..maybe elect someone unmarried for a change...that would be radical in itself...I'm single, I can play around all I want! Wouldn't that change the spin a bit? Yeah...let's start over and build something to be proud of! Make America have common sense again!

Just give me decently qualified people to choose from. That shouldn't be too difficult, right?

Considering GOP won Michigan in 2016, I may go to Michigan to help Dem campaign next year.

Bernie would be 79 and Biden pushing 78 on election day. How about somebody who's not past the typical life expectancy for a male in the US (76).

I was speaking of the primary, not the general (maybe you were too, I don't know).

Pete Buttigieg is still in his 30s. So far I like what I see.

76? Gasp. I hope to live well past that and I've got multiple serious medical problems. I'm going to predict that Biden lives into his 90s.

You've gotta look at reality. Reality is that not only is Biden the most likely to beat Trump, he is also ahead of his Democratic competitors right now and in the foreseeable future.
I say, let's get behind the most likely winner early.

I feel like they had the chance. Remember almost $1B in infrastructure “shovel-ready jobs?” Not saying its Obama/Biden’s fault (they have people who should be running those programs) but the decision and implementation were pretty disastrous for the economy then and infrastructure now.

I just had to chime in on this point. I am currently on an extended road trip and I am disgusted with the condition of the interstates, especially west of the Mississippi. My car hates me and I can’t believe the trucking industry isn’t up in arms. It’s disheartening....and dangerous. American infrastructure should be one of our highest priorities.

Grew up on the Missouri River Valley on the west coast of Iowa....that part of the country was brutally slammed by bizzards and flooding all winter this year...I'm sure it didn't help but that part of the country is about a mile below sea level and really prone to natural disasters...twisters, floods, blizzards...and underpopulated..the Missouri and Mississippi have needed flood walls forever but you're absolutely right....the country is in dire need of infrastructure reconstruction....the power grid is where I'd start..it's really in need of upgrade
