    Huh?
Are you advocating that we build walls for this area, so that they can live in the flood plains?

Here's the thing...when the UE #'s were announced during Obamas administration, the argument was that the REAL unemployment #'s were significantly worse. One of the loudest naysayers was the Orange Tangerine himself, saying it was closer to 30-40% real unemployment.

So this begs the question, which is it?

    You tell me!?

The reason people say it was really worse was because the Labor participation rate was also going down and that makes sense.
But now the Labor participation rate is going up, not by much but up. And wages are going up to compete for labor. So it would seem that nearly everyone that wants a job, is getting a job. My guess is this is the real UE and those that aren't working, don't want to or can not.

Thus the reason for pointing out the UE in response to putting people to work in construction jobs... What people?

common sense...those two rivers spill over the banks so often and cause massive destruction..they need levies that would minimize that damage..the flood plains are the entire Midwest so...let's stick to the two main rivers there to start...

Well sir, not common sense to me. A major problem with keeping high water from expanding in area, which is a buffer, it make for even higher water and flow velocity and more erosion. Higher waters make for more dangerous disaster to come. And it will come. Perhaps more dams could be useful, but that isn't what you said.

I think we've seen from the Dakotas to New Orleans how our erosion barriers are failing as it is...it can be channeled even to produce power as in a dam but currently...communities out on the river with sandbags for weeks on end is what we have

Naw! Keeping the ocean out of low areas is a completely different game.

I think we should be building more dams, a good way to prep for climate change. Higher levies,
no. Dams to retain water can replace Glaciers in function as well as gen power. Levies may cause as many problems as they fix. No need to build below the high water mark.

New Orleans is sinking into the friggin river. Raising river levels with more higher levies up stream will make New Orleans even worse when the high water reaches there.

There are underground lakes all throughout the Midwest...it's why they don't have to irrigate Iowa corn fields..it gets saturated really quickly...canals would help, dams would help in places...levies would protect townships bordering the rivers..infrastructure...they need help along those two rivers and always have

I was going to vote for Bernie, but he sold out to the deep state and surrendered when they rigged the primary.

I think he lost most of his supporters then. Now he’s a proven puppet who quadrupled his personal wealth with the last campaign, still spouting socialism in spite of a booming capitalist economy that is benefiting all Americans.

    Bernie’s moment passed long ago.

Why hell, what do you think Trump did? He's violated the emoluments clause egregiously. He only cares about himself and his wallet.

Did you know that on one of his golf courses he keeps 8 goats so he can claim a tax break as an agricultural enterprise?
    https://www.forbes.com/sites/kather...ide-his-herd-of-goats-yes-goats/#25632a2f152a

How about his Trump Foundation that was never even a charity? In fact, it appears that he used it for money laundering and hiding his income.

He's a low down slime ball.

While we're at it, I'm so glad that his bone spurs have magically gone away and no longer prevent him from serving in the military, which he claims to do because he salutes his AF1 guards as if he were some kind of supreme General.

The interstates in NV are great. I average about 80mph whenever I head to california. They get worse in California but then the traffic really slows you down anyway.
