That's pretty cool. My grandfather fought in WWII as well, for the partizans. We moved here in 1999, as for the hatred in the Balkans, it's getting better now with the newer generations, like for example I'm 23 and I get along pretty well with every one there. That's very good though, and welcome again to S2.
Glad to hear! My dad had just started at the military academy there and when the Germans blitzkrieged they basically told them to leave and try to get home. He was caught my the Germans and after a few years in a camp with many nationalities he was sent to the heart of germany to work on a farm as they needed farm labor. No guards, they just to him if he was ever caught off the farm he would be shot on sight so he stayed there until liberated my the Americans. Worked for them for several years as an interpreter helping relocate people, then that gave him the chance to immigrate here. Good story.
Hey guys. I'm a new member here but I've been reading the forum for a while. New season ticket holder in section 303!
For all the newbies, make sure you post in the sticky thread at the top of the page. I think the thread is titled "Blazer Roll Call"
Ha, you guys are wrong. Baseball is awesome. Just last Saturday I needed to go to bed early to get up the next morning to go to the Grand Canyon. Well, I turned the World Series on using my clock radio and BAM out like a light. Oh wait, that means it is boring.
