He has? So he earned his playing time leading up to him starting in the playoffs in place of Roy and his horrible playoff performance meant he is able to come into this season seeing a decent amount of time (and moreso than Bayless)? Don't see how that makes sense, but okay.

It's the preseason . . . we have no idea how much time Rudy or Bayless will get in the regular season.

Ironic that the player who doesn't deserve time in the preseason has been one of the most consistent preseason players and leadsthe league in preseason threes . . showcasing him? Don't see the problem with Rudy's minutes in the preseason, but okay.

I think its as common as a player dropping in the depth chart to a player that wasn't drafted. That happens quite often.

One thing that Armon brings that Nate likes is toughness, his D alone could get him some minutes under Nate.

If thats the way you want to see it. Jerryd is a put your head down and drive to hole guard, with alligator arms. Johnson's a better defender, can control an offense, is stronger and can actually let his hair loose and get a rebound. I think you're way off base by saying he has more talent in his "little finger".

Neither Bayless nor Armon as the backup PG - it should be Miller!

Here are the lineups as I see them:
    Roy, Rudy, Batum, LMA, Camby
Miller, Bayless, Wesley, Dante, Joel (until he comes back - Oberto...)

I think that's solid. Rudy is the best player to put next to Roy. Bayless becomes the 2nd-unit's scorer but isn't asked to be the Point Guard, Mathewss gives you defense, offense and good attitude and inside we'll have Dante and when he comes back - Joel, for mostly defense and hustle. I'd say that's about as good as Philadelphia's starting-five before he came here. We have the luxury of having such talent in the 2nd-unit while playing who I think are our best players as starters.

In all honesty, you have no idea if Johnson can control an offense

I've watched him initiate an offense with my own eyes.

    The original quote:

is looking pretty dead on with the Bayless trade and the acquisition of Oberto.
