This I agree with. You could get a lot of bang for your buck in this area. A cheap way to improve, keep your guys healthy. Dieticians, yoga, pilates everything you can use to help keep your players healthy and limber.
Joe Freeman wrote that? That comes from the school of JQuick or Crapzano. Uh, how do I turn the no news into bad news? Oh I got it! Obama once said the sun will burn out one day but we haven't heard anything back from the sun so we must assume it is dying.
That surprise me too. I was making a reply to a post on MB's blog and at first wrote that that was typical Quick type of spin, but decided to double check and make sure it was by him and surprise it wasn't. They must be wearing off on him or the editors are asking for that type of spin. I mean if there is nothing new you have to add your own spin to make it news, right?
In McMillan's schedule, in order to barely have just a weak training camp, Oden had to have advanced from running to scrimmages by now. But Cho says he hasn't mastered running.
So, it's pure coincidence and random chance that players like Hill and Shaq who had long injury histories stayed healthy with the Suns? Pure coincidence that Nash is still playing well at his age? And when players like Shaq praise their staff as the best they have ever worked with, they are just lying? But only an irrational person would point that out - right?
Yeah Pretty Much. You really think Orlando's trainers were the reason that Grant Hill had to have 5 ankle surgeries? I would think that the Orthopedic Surgeons would be higher up on the list to question than the team trainers. I think a good trainer is important. But to blame them for the Blazers problems does not seem logical to me.
More recently, Oden has declined interview requests from The Oregonian, saying he'd prefer to talk about his rehab and playing status when training camp starts. Meanwhile, the Blazers do not want athletic trainer Jay Jensen discussing Oden's rehab with the media. Sometimes, no news is good news. Sometimes, no news is B A D news. If this is the latest news, I have nothing to change my opinion that we see Oden in 20 games this season.
8 1/2 months after the injury, and they're still not sure he's going to be ready for training camp?? I'm getting a very bad feeling about this injury. I hope I'm wrong, but something seems suspect. Perhaps the Blazers know that this is a bigger deal than we thought . . .
No. Full-Speed in My mind means whether he's ready to be a starter or not. Fine by me if Camby Starts.
What because the management isn't bent on blowing sunshine up everybodies collective asses anymore people are upset? I actually find it refreshing.
I cant speak for everyone else but me at least the concerning part is that Oden behind not only the orginal timeframe but also the recent timeframe McMillian spoke of. So that make me ask 2 questions. One, did they not realize the extent of the injury intitally and miscalculate the return timeframe? This would make me once again question our training staff. Or two, what has happened to change the most recent timeframe? It just seems that either way that they arent days or even weeks off on this but months. So although Im gald for the honesty and update it still seems like we arent getting all the information here. Either way I hope Im wrong but something tells me there is more to the story.
That is understandable. I am pretty sure after the last few years most Blazer fans are somewhat paranoid about Oden, and unsure of how this will turn out. But this could also be about not putting too much pressure on Greg. The vagueness of their statement feeds off the paranoia. The thing is, at least they aren't trying to build up everybodies expectations falsely. If you listen to the interviews with Greg, he flat out says there are good days and bad days. It is what it is.
If this was the case I would be much quicker to agree. Unfortunately there was a very UN-vague statement about the timeframe when he would be playing 2-on-2, 3-on-3, etc and he isnt doing those things at all at this point. All for keeping expectations in check but if that is the case they should have never gone public with when they thought he would be playing against competition on practice. In the end Im going to try to remain positive and hope for the best.
Credit for what exactly? I think some of us are just happy that's he's not pulling a KP, "Greg does everything we ever ask of him, he's a heckuva kid, we love him, he's going to come back from this stronger than ever, blah, blah, blah ..."
The good news is that while Durant is putting up 30/10/5 and even Noah goes 11/11/2 - we can count on Greg to swim and jump rope! HOORAAHH!
Ah, I see now. You're still in your "Anger" stage and haven't quite moved on to "Bargaining", "Depression" and then finally (hopefully) "Acceptance."
