<div class="quote_poster">Quoting playmaker31:</div><div class="quote_post">The east looks good, but Phoenix won't be 1 because they will lose two great scorers in JJ and QRich as much as everyone knocks Q he can score. I disagree about SA's depth, they have Barry, Rasho, and Udrih off the nech which isn't so bad.</div> No, no, no, no, no they are not losing JJ. They said they will match any offer. If I even thought that they would lose JJ I would expect them to fall in the standings. Without JJ I expect a 6th seed. They are signing JJ. And trust me, getting rid of Q was a great thing. The Suns didn't need scorers. They have a very good offense. Raja Bell is probably a better 3-point shooter than Q. And him and Kurt Thomas both score and play defense.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">As for the Mavs, were you watching game 7? They were better than the Rockets last year and Avery Johnson is a defensive-minded coach so after a whole off season with him they should also improve their horrible defense.</div> True game 7 was a blow out, but last year was Houstons first year together and I think that they will have a better regular season and melt down in the playoffs like last year in game 7.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Best Kept Secret:</div><div class="quote_post">Actually no it's because of all the players you listed none really average around 30 a game. Allen Iverson always seems to average thirty a game or 28 at the least so then even if Webber averages even 19 thats already 49 so they could very well average around 50 points a game together.</div> Amare's average is in the higher 20's and Marions is close to the mid 20's...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ArizonaSportsFan22:</div><div class="quote_post">Garnett and the Wolves sucked last year. Wally is the only good player that I believe they have besides Garnett. Sprewell wants his big contract so he isn't trying and Cassell is old. The Sonics only are losing a couple players out of the great team that they had last year, and the Nuggets still have that good team + maybe they get Finley. And they have a very good coach that made them do so good in the 2nd half. As for the Mavs, were you watching game 7? They were better than the Rockets last year and Avery Johnson is a defensive-minded coach so after a whole off season with him they should also improve their horrible defense.</div> Yes I was watching game seven last season.Remember that it was Yao and Mcgrady?s first season together , and we are not talking about head-to-head we are talking about winning regular season games to gain a higher seed. Yes Avery is defensive minded, but that does not mean that the players they have will play defense they played defense for the first round series, but then in the second round against the Suns went back to there old ways. The Wolves also did draft Mccants who has potential to be a good offensive scorer they can always use Spree in a sign and trade to get talent. Garnett had a knee injury all of last season so did not have his normal explosiveness much of the season. Yet the team was there until the end of the season. Like I said I forgot the Nuggets they will put up a fight for the division title, but tis between them and the Wolves.
So you are saying a rookie is going to lead the 10th team in the West to the 3rd seed? And who would want Sprewell right now?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ArizonaSportsFan22:</div><div class="quote_post">Amare's average is in the higher 20's and Marions is close to the mid 20's...</div> Marion averaged 19 points last season and Amare averaged 26. It does not get much better for Marion then what the Suns offense did last season so you want him to boast his average by six points... well your a Suns fan so I guess I can see why you think so.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting playmaker31:</div><div class="quote_post">LOL Clipps in the PLayoffs...I don't think so. Heat second seed...how about NO! Buck won't finish over Clevland Boston or Philly. Where's Seattle? Houston will be better than Dallas and the Kings.</div> 1) you'd be suprised at what the Clippers will do next year, so watch what you say. 2) Heat are overrated, as is Shaq. They're not really a lock for the number one seed, seeing as they didn't even make it to the finals this year. 3) It's someone elses opinion, you don't really need to "LOL" them after they make a post, that just intimidates people and scares them away from speaking their mind.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ArizonaSportsFan22:</div><div class="quote_post">So you are saying a rookie is going to lead the 10th team in the West to the 3rd seed? Well, most games he got more than 20...it's not like he needed to score more even though he was good enough to do so. Well...enjoy your superstar and has-been.

Weren't 4 of their starters injured at some point during the last series? And they barely lost that one.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GiantMidget:</div><div class="quote_post">^They'll probably lose Radmonovic and Daniels. They did lose their head coach.</div> They haven't yet though. And they didn't play badly at all when Radmonovic and Allen were both injured. I expect them to do better than the T-Wolves, who only have 2 good players.
Two seasons ago Seattle had almost the same roster as they did last year, they didnt do anything. Now theyre losing their coach and multiple players to free agency. They seem pretty shakey to me.
Oh yeah and Best Kept Secret, they have to beat those 9 teams to have a good enough record to get to the playoffs. They won't be better than any of those teams. They can sweep their division if they want but they still have to beat those other teams.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ArizonaSportsFan22:</div><div class="quote_post">Who did Seattle lose? It just depends on if you believe in one year wonders or not.
Lets talk about how everybody thinks the Kings wont make the playoffs because somehow everyteam from california that finished behind Sac last year is now magically better than them. The Kings are a true sleeper for next year.
