The Nuggets will nto take the division next year... They put together a nice 2nd half of the season... but don't expect the sucess to rub off next season. Karl's novelty has worn off. The Nuggs surprised everyone the 2nd half of the season which is why they did so well. I expect them to make the playoffs at a mid to low seed. As for the Kings, they are almost a lock to make the playoffs every season but can't do anything in the playoffs.
idk bout the wolves cause sprewell is getting old, idk bout cassell, but KG is still good...the kings dont have mobley, christie, or webber anymore, and the suns lost a big piece to their 3 pointer and scoring insanity, i dont see them going too high. i have confidence in miami, cleveland, detroit, indiana, chicago, new jersey, san antonio, houston, dallas, and im sure the hawks, charlotte, and hornets will get a little better...mb for once the east will be stronger than the west
This thread has become quite long, well here's my opinion which hopefully matches other smart ppl like myself.. East 1) Detroit Pistons (Indy could easily take the top seed depending on Artest) 2) Miami Heat 3) New Jersey Nets (i hope philly though) 4) Indiana Pacers 5) Chicago Bulls (yay baby bulls) 6) Philadalphia 76ers (if C-Webb and AI learn to play 2gether, watch out..) 7) Cleveland Cavaliers 8) New York Knicks (this is a toss up..Magic, Celts, Wiz..) West 1) San Antonio Spurs 2) Phoenix Suns 3) Minnesota TWolves 4) Dallas Mavericks (2nd best in the West) 5) Houstan Rockets 6) Denver Nuggets (could switch with Twolves) 7) Sacramento Kings 8) Los Angeles Lakers (maybe GSW depending on bdiddy and his injuries or possibly Utah with their AK47..) That's my unbiased opinion.. For the guys who were bad mouthing Philly, the Sixers are a solid team with some great players and Cwebb went to rehab, if he's better he can easily average 20+ pts and if he develops better chemistry with AI, the Sixers can be the 3rd seed and make a lot of noise in the playoffs. Dalembert was great against the Pistons, Korver was cold, but hopefully that was an eye opener, Iggy is the real thing, I was actually hoping he would fall to the Bulls, but Deng is still great. Of course there's the Answer, I think he could lead the sixers to the promise land this year. My biased pick for champs next year is the Sixers.. To the guy who counted out the Knicks and the Jazz I wouldn't, the Jazz lost Kirilenko for most of the season and now got Deron Williams, great PG for them; a lot of ppl had the Jazz in the playoffs last year, now they are slightly better and the 8th seed of the East is up for grabs and could easily be the Knicks. The Knicks have talent, they got Penny Hardaway baby! I'll admit he still is one of my favorite players, but the Knicks could shoot the lights out with a small lineup like Marbury, Jcraw, Qrich - crazy 3pters, should be fun to watch..when they are hitting em. Sweetney and James are an okay frontcourt. Ariza, Nate and Frye are great young talent. The Clippers are not a joke, they have nice talent, but I can't see them making the playoffs just yet. Livingston had some nice games last year and Brand is so reliable. Don't overrate Golden State, I think they are gold to make the playoffs ONLY if Baron Davis stays healthy, Bdiddy has a long history of missing big parts of seasons. It rests on his shoulders, they have a nice lineup with Bddidy, Jrich, Dunleavy and Murphy.

They did well because they surprised everyone? No, they surprised everyone TWO seasons ago (Melo's rookie year). Last season people predicted they would win the division, but with the Sonics having a surprisingly great season, along with some injuries, they only got a 7th seed. However, that is decieving as they had 49 wins. Not your normal win count for a 7th seed, which goes to show how deep the West is. Nuggets are almost a lock for the division barring any injury.
Here's how mine looks: West 1. San Antonio (Midwest winner) 2. Phoenix (Pacific winner) 3. Denver (Northwest winner) 4. Dallas 5. Houston 6. Sacramento 7. Seattle 8. Minnesota East 1. Miami (Southeast winner) 2. Detroit (Central winner) 3. New Jersey (Atlantic winner) 4. Indiana 5. Chicago 6. Boston 7. Cleveland 8. Philadelphia
This is what I see: West: 1. Spurs (just too good) 2. Denver (hecka good lineup and bench) 3. Phoenix (nash, amare, marion will lead them, even tho they are going to lose JJ) 4. Dallas (If they lose finley, they will go down more, but with Dirk and Terry, they will make it) 5. Houston (Yao and T-mac will get better together, and added swift) 6. Golden State (If baron davis stay healthy, pretty sure he will cuz i heard some people said he was just kidding with the injury thing back in new orleans cuz he didnt like the team or something?) 7. Minnesota (KG will lead them) 8. Lakers (cuz phil jackson) (I doubt that Sacramento or seattle will make it, after losing a lot of their good players sac lost: mobley, webber, and christie. Seattle lost: antonio daniels, but they might still make it.) East 1. Miami (Dwade will be better than EVER) 2. New Jersey (Jkidd, vince, and jefferson. Fresh new start) 3. Detroit (lost larry brown might make an impact) 4. Cleveland (lebron james have helpers now, they will make the playoffs for sure) 5. Indiana (with artest back, things will be better) 6. Boston (i dunno, depends if walker, payton stays or something) 7. Philadelphia (A.I. and Cwebb wil get better together) 8. Milwaukee (Added bobby simmons and bogut, things will be a lot better) (I doubt that wiz will make it again after losing hughes. and can someone tell me why u think chicago bulls will make it again?)
East 1.Miami (as long as they dont screw up this offseason) 2.Indiana (although they lost reggie.. it can only get better this season) 3.New Jersey (their having a good offseason signing SAR and Mcginnis to go along with their already stacked lineup.. dont forget Antione Wright) 4.Detriot (im guessing with them.. who knows if Larry Brown will effect them) 5.Cleveland (wow.. Lebron is gonna have fun) 6.Philly (i dont know if they're gonna succeed but with that team you can count em in the playoffs) 7.Chicago (i dont know but for some reason i dont think they will be as good as last year) 8.Boston (one star with a bunch of young guys.. they will fight for this spot) There is gonna be a struggle for the last three spots.. with teams like Washington, Milwaukee + even New York West 1.Spurs (they are too good) 2.Phoenix Suns (they lose some offense by trading Q and JJ.. but im still putting em up here) 3.Denver (look at their roster and look at George Karl.. they will get out of the first round but i dont expect em to go very far in the playoffs.. WC finals at best) 4.Houston 5.Dallas 6.GS Warriors (this team will do very good) 7.LA Lakers (can phil bring them back to the playoffs? most likely) 8.Sacramento (why not?) Snubs: Utah Jazz - the curse of boozer.. lol Seattle - ray allen and rashard are not enough this year Minnesota - KG is great, can you trade him already so he can be on a good team

The big 3 is going to lead this team, this is peja's year to establish himself, but i think bibby might arise to be the leader. as for seattle, i agree with you unless rashard steps it up and rad and flip gets re-signed, then they have a shot.. ahh!! are you kidding me? why the bulls will make it again? the jordan era is passed and so has the rebuilding stage, the bulls will make it for years to come with these young guys. skiles makes the bulls play hard and they play solid defense (2nd only to spurs during the season or something). they might not be able to pass the 1st round this yr again, but they will definetely be in the playoff hunt. they have a better shot then the warriors who you put at 6, bdiddy saying the injury thing was a joke? that's a joke right there cuz b4 last season he was out too, he has a history...i love baron davis and he's awesome, but let's see him play nearly a full season. wizards it is tough to make it, but jared jeffries can now slide into the lineup for the wizards and they added antonio daniels who is going to be big for the wizards. daniels, arenas, jeffries, jamison, haywood, that's a solid lineup, it's a dog fight for the 8th seed (i think knicks will take it), but the wiz might be able to land that final spot. don't count em out.
East 1. Detroit 2. Miami 3. New Jersey 4. Indiana 5. Chicago 6. Washington 7. Cleveland 8. Philly West 1. San Antonio 2. Phoenix 3. Houston 4. Dallas 5. Denver 6. Memphis 7. La Lakers 8. Uath
^ San Antonio and Houston can't be in the top 3 because they are in the same division. The division winners get the top 3 seeds. Also, I know your a Laker fan, but I seriously doubt LA will make the playoffs.

He's a Hornets fan too, but that didn't mean he put the Hornets there too. He used his sense and actually came up with reasonable list, Lakers have a good shot at making the playoffs dude, Kobe now knows a one man show isn't going to cut it (at least hopefully he does..)
