    the pre-draft hype on this class is that it generally sucks. But what I (and I suspect others) need to do is talk hoops, so we speculate away... there is no harm in this.

    Projecting Bayless is one of management's most important calls this offseason as they won't always be so well positioned to address the PG spot. Certainly KP seems to be a huge fan of his on and off the court, but there are several other ways to go available if he so chooses. My own best guess is that Blake will be starting again with Bayless as his primary backup hopefully taking several steps forward over what he showed last year. But I do like Jennings and Rubio and think both probably are similar level talents/prospects. I'm also open to the idea of trading for several of the established PGs around the league or possibly going the FA route with one of the much talked about guys.

    If Portland is to advance deeper in the playoffs, better play from any position (including PG) would help. As a young team they should continue to improve internally, but standing pat isn't a sure path to glory. Change is a constant with NBA rosters so I try to embrace it.
