no need to insult Brian... but yeah.... it was more how then what was said... AND the visual of the choke symbol...
Why the insults? What's gotten you so worked up about this? Yep. Well, besides ESPN and SI, and it seems as if your only concern is the 60 seconds after the most important play of his life. A choke sign and a 15-second interview. He was mic'd up. There's incontrovertible proof, dude. He said "good game" and offered his hand. Look, I get it, you don't like what he did. No problem with that. Call him classless if you like, no problem. Root for the Broncos if you'd like, no problem with that. But I'm going to ask the question when these words like "thug" and "gangsta" get thrown around, because now you've moved into borderline hate speech, and I was trying to figure out where you're coming from. Enjoy the Super Bowl.
...try reading s l o w l y...one more time, he acted like "a classless punk". ...I and others have already explained "where we are coming from"...and I could care less who wins the SB...unlike you, I'm neither an admitted Seattle or a Denver "homer". ...he behaved like "a classless punk"...and a "thug" and a wannabe "gangsta".
...well, it's about time, it's finally sinking in...yes, I thought he acted like "a classless punk" in the interview with Andrews...now if you want to scurry off to copy and paste more quotes to vainly defend your boy, go ahead ...uhhh, he was "mike up during the play" ?...really?...and he's was also miked up 5-10 seconds after the play?, because that's when he confronted Crabtree...please, just stop.
Brian honestly, do you think him making a choke sign toward the 49ers bench was professional or classless? Seriously all BS & homerism aside. I'll wait..................................
Sherman could've been the better man but clearly he couldn't help himself. As for the game I just don't see Seattle being able to keep up with Denver regardless of how good their defense is.
I don't think the choke sign was professional. I can understand it, though, as it occurred literally 5 seconds after he got pushed in the face for saying "good game" and putting out his hand. And yes, he was mic'd up. That means, he had a wireless microphone on him recording everything he said and heard--during plays, on the sidelines, trash talk, etc. Seriously? You ever watch NFL films?
So if the choke sign wasn't professional then it was........c'mon say it with me..........c'mon, you can do it..........YES!, it was classless. Wow, you put up one helleva fight. But I'm glad we FINALLY cleared it up. Enjoy the superbowl.
If the game was being played in Seattle I would say it's possible. Manning just has too many weapons.
Sorry, Rick, I didn't know you were going for if it wasn't professional it was classy. Totally my fault. This started out as a rant that Sherman was a "classless punk" "gangsta" "thug" for his postgame rants. Then after showing that he wasn't ranting to Ed Werter or the ESPN post-game crew or the podium, it became that he was a "gangsta thug" for scaring Erin Andrews. After it was pointed out that she herself said she wasn't scared and that it was "awesome", it then became him being a "classless punk" "gangsta" "thug" "taunting" Crabtree. After being proven that he actually just said "good game", it was whittled down to the detail that his giving a choke sign after being hit in the face was unprofessional. OK. I agree that the choke sign was emotional and unprofessional. If you want to say "classless", sure. Now, will you agree that he is a very articulate and intelligent player who is the best CB in the NFL? Or are you going to stick with the "thug" "gangsta" spiel, even after it's all been stripped away as not true? And has anyone brought up Crabtree punching a guy in the face? Until that point (regardless of what you think of his Andrews speech or his post-game comments) the only thing he'd done was say "good game" and offer his hand. Is that gangsta thug classless punk, or what?
...Manning has had the weapons before and his ability goes without saying...but I remember too many times that he has wilted under the pressure of a great defense. ...the Broncos may be favored but I think it will be a close game.
This is the best way to look at it. When you act like a complete fool you don't point your finger at somebody and blame them for your actions. The bottom line is that Sherman simply wanted to make things all about him instead of it about Seattle going to the Super Bowl.
