People do that alllllllllll the time. He didn't say it should be illegal to kneel. Just that they should be fired. I'm usually the one who thinks police chiefs shouldn't be fired when some idiot cop does something.

I guarantee I'm the least likely to call for someone to be fired over anything that doesn't directly relate to their job.

honestly I never really cared for the anthem. I mean I always would just sit there kinda bored in a game or whatever during it but there are people who take that shit seriously. I mean a majority of soldiers care, some have come out and don't care. The thing is, today only brought more division and that's what these players don't understand. I get you wanna spite trump or shove it in his face, whatever. Then you have the singers themselves doing it and it's weird. Real weird. Or just not showing up for it like the seahawks did. Why? it's childish on both sides, president and the players.

And this is what I meant with the over dramatic shit with trump. He isn't good we know that but lawai'a come sin here and talks about "punishment" like come on he said they should be fired big fucking deal, shit wont be happening. He didn't call for their heads for fucks sake. Trump is 70 years old, it's how he feels, fuck it. I bet my grandpa would say the same shit. Bunch of other people too. Do I care? no but people need to realize not everybody is down with the kneeling

he is not "people" he is the defender of the constitution. what he said was if someone insists on using his right to free speech to protest a civil injustice it should cost them their lively hood. do you feel that I should be fired for saying that the president cannot issue a proclamation that free speech should be punished?
his job is to defend free speech not to seek punishment for it.

His job is to be President. He was doing what he thinks he needs to do to get re-elected. Which I'd make illegal until the last year of a term.

A job we would drastically change if it were up to me.

There will come a day when you'll realize it's easier to ignore people than fire insults back at them.
Personally, I had to turn 26 before I realized lowering myself to their level was beneath me.
Took so much work to act like them, not to mention it would ruin my mood for the rest of the day.
Now I tend to just laugh & ignore people who just aren't worth my time. Simply because no matter what you say to them, it won't change their opinion.

There were four terrible candidates on the ballot in Oregon, not two. Stein, Johnson, Clinton, Trump.

Plus, you said you don't vote, not that you didn't vote.
