The one thing i have to say is that this game is long. Ive played this game for like 7 hours and i just got past the draft.

I was the panthers and i traded Jake Delhomme for Philip Rivers and a 4th rounder, traded somebody for Kellen Winslow, traded Deshaun Foster and a 1st rounder for Larry Johnson.

So I just bought a used copy of this game. I spent all day and night yesterday getting ready for my first regular season. This game begins right before the Raiders' 2-14 season, which I can now erase from history with the help of EA Sports. The first thing that I really wanted to see was how the draft works. I immediately axed Kerry Collins, and drafted Vince Young. I convinced Arizona to make a trade that included Charles Woodson for thier #10 draft pick. I was then able to draft Vince Young and Michael Huff in the first round. Then, I thought I would start over, and go through each phase with more detail. After all that, I am back to pre first draft, and many hours already logged playing it. In my strategy, I am avoiding Art Shell and all his cronies, just to see what things would have been like had he not stepped back in. Rob Ryan and most of his staff get to stay, of course.

On my second attempt with Oakland, I took them to the AFC Championship in '06. Every week, two of my assistanct coaches are reporting that WR1 is not working hard enough or is a real problem for the team. The funny thing is, one of them is a DL coach. WR1 on my team is Randy Moss, I am amazed at how realistic this game is! I have not been able to put it down since I bought it.

Anyone else still playing it these days?

How did EA have the foresight to that? To build a game in which Randy Moss will have a negative impact on assistant coaches and cause them to bring him up in meetings...this is only topped by the ambulance that backs over your head in madden '93. I wonder if they built that into TO's character as well, anyone tried playing with either Moss or Owens on your team? How often did they call him out during the season?
