Go Packers! And how bout them fancy Seahawk hereseys? I called it, I knew there was going to be lime green Seahawk jerseys.. xD
I think so. Maybe not playoffs-legit, but that team's looking pretty well rounded. The defense is young and talented. The offense is finally healthy and as good as its always been. They have their best RB since Corey Dillon (Benson seems to have turned it around). The Steelers D on the other hand looks mediocre without Polamalu. I guess it's sort of a testament to how good a player he is, but there are some very talented players on that roster that are underachieving right now. No way last year's team allows two consecutive opponents march down the field for game-winning drives. I honestly didn't think Favre was good enough to win a game by himself anymore. Guess I'm wrong. I lost $5 on that game, that I think I would've won if Frank Gore didn't go out. A couple of us on this forum predicted the Lions win. I love how Washington returned to their splurging ways this summer and they've looked crappier than they have in years. That offense needs to be re-worked. I don't think Campbell is a good enough QB in the NFC East. I know they're high on their young WR's, but I don't think that stable of receivers is talented enough to create space for Clinton Portis. I was actually a bit worried about the Giants coming into this week, wondering if they were too injured for their own good. Didn't realize we could field our practice squad D and shut down that Bucs offense. Byron Leftwich is a more accurate JaMarcus Russell. I think sentence sufficiently insults both players.
Don't feel too bad Chut, Niners did pretty well for a team without Gore. It is a shame since he came off a career day. You just can't keep Zombie Favre down for long. Starting to think I should have drafted Peyton over Brees, very competent effort tonight. :O
I thought the Cardinals had a real chance there to come back, after the missed FG, but they couldn't get past the 50. I'm really impressed with some of the lesser-known skill players on the Colts offense. Donald Brown, Pierre Garcon, they're all making plays.
I love the Foreskins. They make me laugh every year. Seriously, was anybody even the least bit worried when they signed Albert Haynesworth? I knew he wasn't going to do anything for them. If the Giants, or even the Cowboys signed him, I'd be pretty upset and worried. Skins? Nope. The Skins make the same mistakes over and over again, Synder never learns. Which is good for me, good for you. I just hate that for whatever reason, the Foreskins always play us tough. But in the big picture, in my years of following football, not once have I worried about them in the divisional standings. In fact, I think I only remember them being competitive once. It's really sad, because when you look at their roster on paper, you'd think they'd have enough talent to at least beat the freaking Lions.
I just realized that if it wasn't for Denver's fluke/lucky play to win the game, Cincinnati would be 3-0 right now.
lol Shame on me for thinking the Panthers would win. Cowboys actually have a nice trio of running backs. Barber-Jones-Choice. They should be rushing the ball more, I think it'll make their offense much more effective.
They might actually be better served calling more running plays than passing plays. Romo still looked inaccurate today, although he wasn't as bad as last Sunday. Their secondary absolutely sucks though. Terrance Newman's still great, but Orlando Scandrick and Micheal Jenkins can't read plays, make bad breaks in coverage, and suck at tackling. I can't believe the Panthers locked Delhomme into a long-term extension this offseason. He's always been an injury-prone mediocre-to-good QB, but that playoff had to have been a warning sign of worse things to come. He's just built on that performance so far this season.
Barber is by far the best RB passing blocker and when it gets to the 4th quarters he can put games away, but it's nice having all three. It'll be even nicer having all three healthy!
