    Online Betting Overview
The Boston Bruins had a rough time in game one of its Eastern Conference Quarterfinal game against the Washington Capitals. It wasn’t the defense that was the problem. The Bruins held the high flying Capitals to only 17 shots for the entire game. Washington only had two shots on goal in the second period. No, defense was not the problem for Boston. It was the offense that was not clicking for the Bruins. More specifically, the Bruins could not figure out the Washington goaltender. The betting world watched as the Bruins pounded the Washington net with 30 shots. The Bruins even had 17 shots in the second period alone, but it took overtime for Boston to finally win the game.

It looks like Tomas Vokoun is finally starting to pay off for the Capitals. At least, it would look that way if it were Vokoun who had played in that game. Vokoun is injured and the Capitals ruined the confidence of backup Michal Neuvirth months ago. The price per head bookie experts were shocked to find out that the goaltender who was stoning the Boston Bruins in the playoffs was second-year player Braden Holtby. Holtby actually showed flashes of brilliance in his short time with the Capitals last season. In 14 games last year, Holby went 10-2-0 and posted an impressive 1.79 goals against average. If the Capitals are going to have a chance, then Holtby will need to keep playing tough throughout the playoffs.

    Boston Bruins
The Bruins were their usual dominating selves in this game one. It was a physical game that the Bruins controlled from the drop of the puck. The Capitals almost never saw the Bruins end of the ice for the entire second period. But Boston needs to be careful that a hot goaltender does not deflate the team’s confidence. A sportsbook review of the Bruins’ performance in game one shows that the team did everything it needed to do except score a lot of goals. If Tim Thomas starts to show signs of poor play at any point in this series, then it could be difficult for the Bruins to maintain its pace. The Bruins will come out ready for this game and they will put pressure on Holtby.

    Washington Capitals
The Capitals relied on offense to make the playoffs and then shut that offense down when the team made it in to the post-season. The Capitals is going to need to find a way to score goals if it wants to win this series. The Bruins have a way of smothering the opposing team’s superstars. That means that the rest of the Washington roster is going to have to step up and generate offense.

    The Bottom Line
The Bruins are going to play the exact same game it played in game one. The one exception is that the Bruins will crash the net to try and shake up the young Holtby. The Capitals are going to have to start skating harder and pushing back if it wants to stay in the NHL playoffs for the second round.

    Pick: Boston Bruins
