Two people can love each other get married have no kids, and still accomplish the goal of creating a family RIGHT when they married.
You don't think people marry strictly for the tax benefits? You have a right to debate, but if you don't care what they do in their life then why would you want to tell them they can't get married?
The foundation of creating a family and having children etc, comes from the marriage and all those things come out of a relationship between a man and a woman. It's so easy to see it.
It's clearly not easy to see if we are having this discussion. I still don't get how marriage can't be JUST about love.
Those are idiots who want to make money the easy way. I'm talking about the majority of people here. I know myself I'll marry to create my own family, not to get away from taxes, or make someone happy, it's about creating your own family, having kids and basically creating new generations for this earth. (something gays cannot do, a fact)
Of course you're marrying for love, for the reason that you love that woman and that you want her to have your kids, thats what it comes down to. But gays cannot have kids. I'm perfectly fine with allowing them have relationships, etc, loving each other, having sex, whatever, but why the hell should they marry when no reproduction is coming out of it? If they want less taxes, then change the tax laws to help the gays.

Regardless if homosexuality is formed genetics or just out of one's free will, outlawing gay marriage goes against the liberty and pursuit of happiness that Americans are so fortunate to have. Civil unions should have the same rights nationwide imo. And as much as i hate to say it, marriage should be handled by the church-I hate the seperate but equal shit but what right does a nation's government to regulate the beliefs of a religion?
Then go ahead and marry her, you have the right, where are you getting the comment that I'm against love and marriage? I'm against gays and lesbians being able to marry, it's very simple. Sex between two men will not equal a child, we already went over that. Adoption, etc are different because "someone" else is creating that child for you, so why marry when you can just adopt since you're gay. (not you by the way, meaning for that gay person)
I think there'd be a lot less outrage over gay marriage if we just added some simple stipulations to it: 1) All married homosexuals must be forced into having kids! Be as miserable as the rest of us. 2) Married lesbians can't use strap-ons or dildos! You can't have it both ways: either you stick to using your hands or admit that you need the dick. 3) Only 5% of the country can be gay at any given time! We need to ensure the survival of the human race. 4) Don't expose your gayness in front of Umair or his unborn child! NO OFFENSE. 5) For every new gay marriage, China and India have to increase their baby output! So we don't go the way of the dinosaurs. Feel free to add your own.
I didn't mean that you were against love or marriage, I'm sorry if it came across that way. What I'm questioning is you keep using the argument of not being able to produce children against gay marriage. So say a man or woman has a problem where they can't have a child. If they really love each other, and there is a 0% chance of them being able to ever have a kid, it is okay for them to get married? So then, if two men or two women really love each other, why should the fact that they have a 0% chance of creating a child on their own be held against them?

It's similar to a hypothetical situation where as if you're for different laws for people based on their race you're a racist. Oh yeah I almost forgot. In my psych classes we've gone over research where the most openly homophobic people were usually the ones who had hidden and repressed gay thoughts. It's an interesting theory. Of course it is ok for a man and woman to get married even if they cannot have children because it's natural for men and women to be together. Why do gays want to marry when nothing is coming out of it? Other than getter less taxed, or other benefits they get from the govt. (change those laws, if they need it, no need to get married just for silly benefits)
Also, why should I be allowed to get married if I chose not to have kids, but a gay/lesbian couple aren't allowed to get married because they "chose" to be gay, therefore not having any kids? I just don't see where the ability to have kids should play into it. At all.
