Well, this photo really has my dander up. And to think I was going to invite these folks over for tea and cucumber sandwiches!
You must be a big fan of wikileaks, I guess? Since we own all that classified material, we should all have access to it, right? The FBI and CIA and NSA and all other TLAs should put all their files online. We own them. barfo
Someone needs to explain to a poster on this site the difference between classified information and a photo confirming something already reported.
Someone needs to explain to another poster on this site that lots of things are classified that relate to already-reported events. barfo
umm a photo can be classified regardless of the info it pertains to. try getting a picture of the plane crashing into the pentagon
Rumsfeld was on Fox News yesterday. VERY interesting. Yeah, he's hawking his book, but he's also much more relaxed and willing to talk about what went on. He deliberately said we waterboarded THREE and only three of the detainees and they did spill important intel. He was asked about how this whole thing was handled, and he said they took the highest risk/highest reward strategy and it was the right move. When asked about releasing the photo, he said he fully understands why it shouldn't be released, but if it were up to him, he'd lean toward releasing it. Not a single harsh word for the current administration, and lots of praise.
Part of me wants to see the pics. Part of me really loathes the idea that because Somali mobs found it justifiable, we should too. I think we should set our standards a little higher than that. Even if it's all a big conspiracy, Osama is still clearly either dead (natural causes, by Pakistanis or whatever) or captured by the US. There's simply no reason for Obama to stick his neck out and make such a bold statement that can be easily refuted by a still-alive Osama in a 15 second video. If he's dead, good. If he's actually alive and being tortured somewhere covertly, well, I hate torture but in this one instance I'd be ok with it. So the photos don't really matter much to me. I guess I'd prefer they release them just for the historical record. But I don't really care that much.
No photos. No body. No video. Shit.... if that passes today, I can tell anyone just about anything and they'll believe it I guess. BTW guys, I fucked Natalie Portman and Rachel McAdams last night in a wild threesome. There's photos but they're simply too gruesome.
Post a picture of your bed, at the time it happened (you don't need to be in the picture). That's proof enough for me.
Rumsfeld and Bush live by a different code, one Carter forgot. Their time in the public eye is done. They don't trash other administrations, even if they disagree with them.
I was going to post a picture of a bunch of people watching a TV to prove that it was a tense moment when I thought Natalie and Rachel were going to keep going at it and leave me out of the fun.
I'm glad they arent going to make the pics public. I dont want my kids seeing that stuff. I havent seen pictures of Dante Cunningham getting arrested, but I have no doubt it happened.
By that argument, nothing objectionable would ever be published. It's our job as parents to shield our kids as we see fit. It's not government's job to decide what we can and cannot see.
yeah man , no kidding, its not like the cut off civilians heads and posted that on the web , television and on the news at night..dull knife...praising god in their native language....long painfull deaths..
True, and I agree. But I'd have to lock my kids in a closet for them to not see these pictures if they where released. They'd be everywhere!
