It was basically last year that set it up for the downplay, a fluke year it seems since he was great in past playoff performances and had one bad year. He's just showing it again this year and much improved.

One player played him very well, then because of that there was this whole "Dirk can't do anything against smaller defenders" crap.Which of course isn't true...McGrady did, but he is a major athlete, and is one of th few players that can even give him trouble. And it is a fluke year if he has had great playoffs every year before it, and then is having another great year this year.Plus, he was sick during the Suns series...so I'd think that had something to do with it.But you know what, everyone gets shut down sometimes...everyone has off games. But I guess Dirk is the only one, since that's all everyone talks about wiht him.
After that huge shot he should have been in this poll and the winner by farAt the same time, who didn't expect Dirk to average 30+ against the Grizzlies?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>It wasn't a fluke year, Tracy McGrady shut his ass down.</div>Dirk still averaged his 20+ pts, so I wouldn't call it shut down. And we still came on top. Fluke year, yes considering his past performances and this year.
