I don't think we have the ammo to get Williams in a trade. If I was NJ I would be pushing to trade Williams for Rondo. Sure, Rondo has his problems, but he'd be a better consolation than getting nothing and I'm sure Boston would love to have DWill's bird rights.
Anyone that doesn't think we should trade Batum for Williams is insane! I love Batum, but he is hardly "untouchable" if that means trading for Williams. The thing that would worry me is "Would we lose him in the summer?" What if things don't turn around fast enough for Williams to want to stay? That would mean we lose Williams for nothing.
I don't overvalue Batum. The reason I wouldn't want to include him in the trade is because there is no way Williams would sign long term with Blazers without Batum and Aldridge on the team.

We need to make a trade before the trade deadline. Even if it's 3 players for 2 or 2 for 1. I would do it for Calderon, Nash or Rondo, if possible. But if you can't, then just for a decent PG that can hit the outside shot and not turn the ball over. Then we can sign Mills and have him be our back-up. I'm tired of watching our team have such disfunction at PG. We need PGs!
Unless you give E Will some burn. I think E Will is the perfect compliment for a PG like Williams. In fact, I think E Will is perfect for Rondo as well.
Seems like super teams are the wave of the future and we should have the cap space to offer two max contracts. Fuck it dude, I'd make a pitch to Williams and Howard and see where the chips fall. What other team with cap space can offer max deals to both players and already have a young star of Aldridge's caliber signed long term? Pipe dream? Absolutely, but why not swing for the fences?
We have no shot at Rondo and Nash without sacrificing our best assets. Getting Calderon cuts massively into our capspace. Hell no. Why are you so adamant on making them watchable this season? It's plainly obvious they're 1st round and out at best. (With what they have or with what's reasonably available)
Well, that's a good point, Boston might be the ideal partner for NJ on this; but would they be sure he would sing (or sign) with them?
Supposedly Boston wants Rondo gone really bad, and I'm sure they'd rather have the inside track on Williams than to deal Rondo for some scrubs. Is there a chance he would leave? Sure, but that would be a lot of money to leave on the table.
Is it possible to "bake" and "chill" at the same time? If I were to choose, I would say "assume room temperature."
