with small ball likely getting more play in the NBA Vonleh could be a PF/C, he has a 7'4" wingspan and 9 standing reach with a 37" vertical and has a good motor, obviously need time to develop and is still only 19

    There you go.

He's probably LMA's ultimate replacement down the line.

You weren't winning with Batum, you can not win just as easily without him. On the other hand, the guy you got seems to have a much higher upside. I think we saw the best Batum could do.

I know, I know, but he had a 13.2 PER as a rookie. Big hands and a defender. Solid pick up

Reminds me of another Blazers PF/C project who recently figured it all out. MM's favorite.

I'll care about Charlotte's opinion of a young prospect when they finally develop one.

There's a point at which I believe it's more than the picks they've made. A lot has to do with ability to develop, the culture. Charlotte is a complete disaster and a losing culture.

He has a 9 ft vertical reach, a 7'4" wingspan, 6 toes on his left foot and a birthmark on his right butt-cheek.

More to the point - is there ANY evidence he can actually play Bball at the NBA level?

If you're long and athletic, and not a complete idiot mentally, you're an asset in today's NBA. He's already got the first part checked. The latter is still up in the air but the guy is only 20 years old. The Blazers are taking the chance he pans out.

when he finally got some minutes he has some pretty decent games at the end of the season, before that he got very, very little time

I have a feeling he's going to be an asset to move up in the draft. If LAs returning then we have him and Meyers at PF going forward, and Vonleh isn't a natural center.

maybe he goes to Indy (where he played in college) in a Hibbert trade if Hibbert opts in, or if he opts out and we do a sign and trade with the Pacers

Could definitly see that happening now that David West opted out. They also need a starting SG. Maybe we flip Henderson, Vonleh, and 23 for Hibbert and 11.

But Hibbert would have to publicly announce that he's not opting out, right?

He'd have to opt in. Maybe Indy tells them they have a deal sending him to Portland if he opts in

Going to a team he wanted to go to with an owner that will pay him when cap rises. Playing with Aldridge will make average centers look like beasts. Imagine how he will help Hibbert?!

If we hear Hibbert opting in, he's gone
