If they are traded for anything of value, even a 2nd round pick, then it was worth matching. Unless you think Plums was beter than Nurk.

Sure, but I didn't say they weren't. I was responding to Wookee on if we are going to pay Luxury tax or not.

Apparently the Celtics are about to acquire Paul George and are making a push for another player too.

I remember last season when I compared the Celtics with the Blazers and this was seen as an insult to the Blazers.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Ainge pulled off the NBA's Herschel Walker trade. Now the question becomes whether he can turn that into a title-winning power, like Dallas did.

Let us not forget that we got the pick that (with a little extra shenanigans) became Brandon Roy from Ainge for Sebastian Telfair.

Kings are one notch better, looking at their overall body of work from the last few years. Not that it says much...

Woj says that Bogut can NOT go back to GS this year even if he wants to.

If PG does end up in Boston then Larry Bird will be suspected of favoritism the same was McHale was with KG.

Bird's reputation for cut-throat competitiveness would seem to make him immune to such charges.

One BILLION likes for this news!

Plus, I don't think he'd want to. I think he'd MUCH rather beat them than join them.

Why? It was reported that the Warriors figured out several teams interested in trading for Bogut and then went to Bogut and let him decide where he wanted to go. That seems like pretty high-level commitment to doing right by players, even ones on their way out. It seems unlikely to me that Bogut has hard feelings towards Golden State.

Bogut is a class act (off the court) and a smart guy. Still, I can't help but think it would be sweet revenge to get the better of the lover that dumped you for someone new, who is younger, prettier than you - even if you would have done the same thing.

Besides, moot point. Bogut can't go back to GSW anyway.

Ardol O'Hanlon, the guy who plays the dumb priest on Father Ted, plays an even dumber alien superhero, Thermo Man, on My Hero. Brilliantly idiotic.

So what we have is Nurk, who seems fine, and the 20th ish pick plus 2 more firsts

Easily could have had Cousins and Noel but then no picks

    Hmmm
